The Lyrics

She smokes... she prefers older guys... and still I pine and whine!
(instrumental opening)

In the event of something happening to me
there is something that I'd like you all to see.

It's just a photograph of Michael Douglas' wife.

Have you seen his wife, Zeta-Jones?
Do you know she's nice not just on the outside?
I keep talking too loud hoping for pants-slide.
Zeta-Jones!

I keep straining my ears to hear a sound.
Maybe one day she'll go and leave that clown.
Should I have given up and gone right off to bed?
But nowhere else does she get more inside my head.

Have you seen his wife, Zeta-Jones?
Do you know she's nice not just on the outside?
I keep talking too loud hoping for pants-slide.
Zeta-Jones!

In the event of something happening to him
can I alibi or is my future grim?
Is there a photograph to prove my innocence?

Have you seen his wife, Zeta-Jones?
Do you know she's nice not just on the outside?
I keep talking too loud hoping for pants-slide.
Zeta-Jo-wo-wo-wo-wones!
I was going to make it "more get inside my head," which is more grammatically correct, but then I thought of the T-Mobile "Get More" slogan, and I became even more hopeless.

Oh, poor dear. Never mind, Michael Douglas might kick the bucket. Then, you can swoop her by the feet and cast her away to a faraway land where you two will be together. Too dramatic? Well, here's your fives. Be happy.

off with your head Michael she's mine! however, these fives are yours. Ah but the stars, and the life we'd miss to give it all up for just one kiss.. sigh....

An interesting idea executed to the best of your ability. As Dick Smothers would say, that was not a compliment.

There's a difference: Everyone in America has heard of the Smothers Brothers. How many people in this country know what the hell a "blessranger" is? And I did give you a 3-2-2, which is more than you deserve. I'll never make that mistake again, nor that of assuming you're over the mental age of 11.

Well thats what happens when you are rude Mr Pacholek. Anyway I am 4th position on the number of parodies written, just slightly above you. And I write better than Fitu Petaia

Ah Michael, obsessing over Mr. Douglas' State of Union now....? Fie Fie! :-P
Michael Pacholek - January 26, 2007 - Report this comment
Yes, you write better than Fitu. So does Bush. It's not an accomplishment. As for you being above me... it's only statistical, in the strictest sense, and I wouldn't mind it so much if Catherine were below me... Actually, Merry, Michael Douglas' "The American President" was one of my grandmother's favorite movies, but it's weird watching all these people who went on to the West Wing in the wrong roles. Martin Sheen as Chief of Staff? No, no, no... And "Fie, Fie"? What is this, Shakespeare on an off-day?
John Barry - January 26, 2007 - Report this comment
If she ever drops Douglas, you can marry her in Scotland, where they say, "Get me to the kirk on time."

Cowley and Starledger's awesome!!!
Michael Pacholek - January 28, 2007 - Report this comment
Don't give her any ideas, John. She might think you're talking about James T. Kirk. William Shatner is even older! (Except he's currently married to Wife Number 4, so at least I don't have to compete with the Captain of the Enterprise.) And that pun oughta put you in the brig!
