Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

As performed by Paula and Art Garfunkel. Guest appearance by their baby!
[intro]

(WHAA!)

Slow down, you drink too fast
About to make my nipple chapped!
Take a rest now from building bones
I'm outta milk from feedin' baby!

[baby sings this part, translated]
ma ma ma ma ma ma,
Feed the baby

Early mornin', he is screamin'
As if to say "I need a feedin'"
Ain't cha got enough from me?

[baby sings this part, translated]
WHAA-WHAA-WHAA-WHAA!
Feed the baby!

su-sus-sus-sus sucks sucks,
On my booby

He's got no job to do, except suckle my teat
And then in his diapers he leaves me a treat,
Still my husband he asks 'is there any for me?'
I am not a,
Freakin' dairy!

[husband and baby both sing the outro]
Wah-wah-wah-wah........

This situation sounds somewhat familiar. ; )

Thanks Alvin and Pat. No votes on a well-known S&G song? Is it that bad?
Rick C - December 24, 2005 - Report this comment
No, it's not that bad. I think it's very good. It's probably just that alot of the voters are busy with holiday stuff. Why I'm up at 7:00 AM on a day off is beyond me. 555

The votes aren't registering on this page. I've tried to vote 4 times but, it's still showing only one vote.

Thanks Rick. As for the votes, you can't vote more than once (though thanks for trying!) because of cookies, though there may have been an internal problem with this URL yesterday.

This parody sucks--but in a good way. 555

I almost had to mark you down on pacing because of the number of "wah"s at the end. Heh heh. Nice job. I especially like the "leaves me a treat" line. And the one after it, which is kinda ambiguous about whether the husband wants the teat or the treat.

Thanks Carol, PMS, Agrimorfee and Spaff- not to mention those imperfect rhymes I used in the first two verses.

The best parts of this parody came at the end with the husband asking "Is there any left for me", and "I'm am not a freaking Dairy!". The rest was good, but those two bits stuck out.

I echo Matt's comments on the "Fave" lines. Well done Sir Ant. As I remember this OS was a favorite of mine when it was in the top 40s way back when. Excellent write.

(ABC) I'm tipping the husband's and the baby's needs do not categorically coincide, Jack, but I've been wrong before - love the clever take on the feelin groovy line, and beautifully executed - 555

I loved how you gave the baby a voice here Jack. After all he/she should know.
As for the hubby...wait 'till you have kids...
