Although darkness was my friend.
It's gone; I caught a glimpse again.
I saw a vision harshly seething
Left it's rage while I was listening
And the villain, he was chanting in my brain
"Take these chains."
And it just sounds like silence.

With stressful screams I do intone
Marrowed bleats that are unknown
'Neath the oval of "A" street ramp
"I turned my collar to the cold and damp"
When those lies were grabbed
By the clash, and I saw the light
I smiled delight
It roused that sound of silence.

And in my wakened light I saw
The world is peopled without score
Many talking, but are shrieking
Many hearing, but not hearing
Some are writing tomes that they had never aired.
I did not care.......
Perturbed their little silence.

"Say," said I, "you really know.
Denial like cancer grows
Hear my words, don't feign this is new,
Take the harm if it's really you."
But my words, like silent school bells toll
They echo
As the knells of sadness.

And those people they have stayed
Funny mind-games they have played.
Their new signs smashed new thoughts warding.
'Cause my words heard they were forcing.
And their mind read,
Words that were different thoughts
Than written and was meant -- the gall!
And soon they will fall.
And whisper their own sound of silence.
