The Lyrics

My quitting this site cold turkey didn't seem to last long. Got a few things done, but I guess my muse won't let me lose this place.
I can get so sanctimon'ius
I can get so sanctimon'ius
"Cause I preach and I preach and I preach and I preach
I can get so---quite a freak show

When I'm walkin' down the street
And that man comes with the turban on
So I tell him all "bout Christ
And I'm doin' my best to save him
And he just acts like I'm a nut ravin'
I just get so---they gotta know
Pray, pray, pray
That's what I say

I can get so sanctimon'ius
I can get so sanctimon'ius
"Cause I preach and I preach and I preach and I preach
I can get so---quite a freak show

When I'm watchin' my T.V.
And those Jews come on to tell me
For the sake of comedy
Well, they won't be a-saved
Cause they don't believe
The same basic faith as me
I just get so---they gotta know
Pray, pray, pray
That's what I say

I can get so sanctimon'ius
I can get so sanctimon'ius
"Cause I preach and I preach and I preach and I preach
I can get so---quite a freak show

When I'm ridin' my high horse
Sayin' must do this, and you can't have that
And I'm quotin' from the one source
Which tells me maybe I should go convert the weak
That only my God is what they seek
I just get so---they gotta know
Pray, pray, pray
That's what I say

I just get so, I just get so
I just get so sanctimon'ius
So sanctimon'ius
So sanctimon'ius
So sanctimon'ius

Good job. This parody reminds me of the point of view of a religiously conservative fellow ( I will not reveal what faith or religious tradition he claimed to believe in ) who I worked with years ago... he would say that saying that your beliefs are the only right beliefs does not constitute "being arrogant", so long as YOUR beliefs ARE the only right beliefs... sounds like he was exercising his civil right to impose Orwellian double-think on himself and then preach it to others.

And by misspelling the title, I've taken myself out of all those pesky search engines. Thanks all.
