Parody Song Title:

"I Sit And Eat My Freedom Fries"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

This isn't a pro-war, or an anti-war song...it's just a war song..and it mockes freedom fries...but its not like thats something new...anyone remember when sauerkraut was called Liberty Cabbage? If you do, youre old....
It is the bombing of Iraq
I sit and watch the skies turn black
Dying soldiers I can see, for lib-er-ty
I sit and eat my freedom fries

Saddam has gassed all of the Kurds
To him I've got some dirty words
All I hear is the sound of peaceniks, marching through the town
I sit and eat my freedom fries

It is the ending of Hussein
To me he has been such a pain
Liberating his country, freedom they'll see
I sit and eat my freedom fries

I believe it's the new "term" for French Fries, since the French turned their backs on supporting America in the war. I heard that someone (may have been a politician--I forget) proposed that we stop calling the potatoes "French" fries and start calling them "Freedom" fries. However, ironically, I heard that "French" fries really originated in Belgium, not France!

yes, Norman's got it, Freedom fries are the new name for French Fries.....the funniest part is that of the two areas that french fries came from, neither is France...one style is from Italy (called French-style fries), and one is from Belgium

Sacre Bleu! Great! And French toast is named after it's creator, a guy named French. French Fries come from Belgium. I do know about the Liberty Cabbage, but will we hear of something called a "Liberty Kiss?" Will they rename what was once called a "French Disease?" Sacre Merde! (Me, I'm still listening to Ravel and Debussy!)

LOL! What about renaming French Letters, too (come to think of it (pun intended :-) ), "Liberty Letters" does have a nice ring to it). I do wonder if Chirac realises that his behaviour has a) caused the war to start much earlier, and b) caused a huge increase in support for the war in the UK...

I think 'Freedom fries' originates from the cafeteria(s?) of the senate, etc. They took 'French' off the menu and called them Freedom instead, I (sincerely hope) don't think it's actually going to be the "new" name for fries in the states.

DRTOS well enough to vote, but it isn't funny what Saddam did to his people ( and other peoples ). Neither is war really but it is necessary.
