The Lyrics

I wanted to write something for the occasion, and for a change, not mock it
SAINT BARACK

I see the White House and there’s just no turning back
No color anymore our president is black
I see the Bush walk out dressed in a cloak of shame
I know the next guy in can’t ever be as lame

I saw a million march and they were mostly black
The flower children came and said “We got your back”
I saw people change their heads and get with MLK
Any new idea takes forever and a day

I look where we have been and see a lot of change
I see that marriage between women ain’t that strange
Maybe then faiths will merge and not have to face attacks
It’s a little easier now our top man is black

No more will history say “We’ve excluded YOU”
But for Hillary and John I guess this could be true
If we work hard enough into the next four years
We’ll live and laugh again and overcome the fears

I see the White House and there’s just no turning back
No colors anymore our president is black
I see the Bush walk out dressed in a cloak of shame
I know the next guy in can’t ever be as lame

Hymn, hymn hymn...

I wanna see him sainted, Saint Barack
He ain’t white, reached a goal
I wanna see the “son”
Booted out for this guy
I wanna see him sainted, sainted, sainted
Saint Barack

Not as funny as some, but a nice tribute - well done.

Trolls were probably attracted to the title and uno-bombed away.

A little premature, aren't you, Rick?

Good fit to the original, which is also a bit "dark." Good sentiments. I hope too that Barack will get us past referring to his being black, since he's also half white, as are my nephews. They're half black and Jewish, too. Oy vey.

Sorry it took me so long to find this gem, Rick. Then again, I'm sorry it took this country so long to find the gem we've now got in the White House. Even though he's off to a rough start, he already seems like a gem compared to Bush, having helped more people in a month and a half than Bush would have in 100 years.

I just found this and as a fellow Barack supporter I love it! Good parody too. All 5's!
