"The Most Wonderful Time of the Year"

Original Performer:

Andy Williams

Parody Song Title:

"The Most Horrible Song of the Year"

Parody Written by:

Michael Pacholek

The Lyrics

I'm sure Andy Williams is a nice guy, but this time of year, I get so... SICK of hearing him sing this song over and over and over again, my friend...
It's the most horrible song of the year!
I'm sick of Andy Williams.
I would like to kill him.
I might if he's near!
It's the most horrible song of the year!

It's the sap, sappiest music of all!
It's so very annoying
so sugared and cloying
in stores in the mall!
It's the sap, sappiest music of all!

All the parties you're hosting
they should not be boasting:
This song, please toss out in the snow!
Halloween's for ghost stories
not Christmas, you hoary
old goat who peaked long, long ago!

It's the most horrible song of the year!
All the saccharine flowing
this song should be going
far away from here!
It's the most horrible song of the year!

(instrumental break)

All the parties you're hosting
they should not be boasting:
This song, please toss out in the snow!
Halloween's for ghost stories
not Christmas, you hoary
old goat who peaked long, long ago!

It's the most horrible song of the year!
All the saccharine flowing
this song should be going
far away from here!
It's the most horrible song!
It's the most horrible song!
It's the most horrible song of the year!

I had to take a 2nd look at this to make sure it was your parody and not your comments on some poor unfortunate wannabe parody writer that you were commenting on. Well done Michael. You managed to do a whole parody on your tactical commenting.

I gotta say...I love the OS. Because this IS the most wonderful time of the year...and I haven't met many Christmas songs that I don't adore. I adore you, too, Mister Pacholek...so I'll five this...(it's good, after all)...but know this: when you come to my Holiday parties, this OS WILL be on the play list. =)

I love that old Christmas standard, but this is a very funny spoof of it..

Judging from the above comments everybody has a little too much Christmas spirit - too much egg nog perhaps? I'll bet you just adore fruitcake. Well, I'm thinking of starting a blog devoted to silly Christmas carols - such as The Little Drummer Boy, You're all I want for Christmas and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. If this will make you feel better, whenever you hear It's the Most Wonderful...... think of a skit on Saturday Night Live where an Andy Williams impersonator was standing on a revolving stage and singing. He got nauseated and threw up.

Tie his colourful sweater sleeves together and then push him off his rocking chair - that should do it! ;^) 555!

It's reassuring to see that at least ONE of those #$%@! overplayed Christmas songs got what it had coming to it. My favorite line: "This song, please toss out in the snow." Even though I would've liked to see the extra bridge and final verse (those last 2 paragraphs) different from the other bridge and 3rd verse, I still consider this a parody for the ages. 556

You HAVE to record this and send it in to the FuMP! I bet it'd get 30 downloads the first day!
