Original Song Title:

 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Weezer

Parody Song Title:

"General Mills"

Parody Written by:

Mike Armstrong

The Lyrics

Dedicated to the cereal giant, General Mills (Frosted Flakes is the only non-General Mills cereal included)
Where I come from
You'll find Frosted Flakes
We refrigerate on the middle rack
That Trix rabbit is a little whack
Giants who are barefoot, jolly, and green

You see us on the groc'ry shelves
Some of us make it on TV
Like that damn dough boy, Pillsbury
Or that bi*ch Betty Crocker

General Mills, we are the cereal!
Kickin' butt, General Mills
General Mills, we're breakfast food material!
Post blows goats, General Mills

Look at all those Lucky Charms
Got Chex in corn and wheat and rice
And there's Kix to satisfy
Your little munchkin's snacking vice
Got 2 scoops of Raisin Bran
To keep you regular and clean
Eatin' Kellogg's is for fools
Cuz we're the breakfast King

General Mills, we're whatcha wanna eat!
Cookie Crisp, General Mills
General Mills, Chocula is quite a treat!
Wheaties yup, General Mills

You know there's, Cinnamon Toast Crunch
There's a toy for the kiddies there
That they won't ever use
No they won't, it's just some Ninja Turtle crap
That's missing an arm, maybe two
So go buy Cheerios instead
Honey Nut will do

General Mills, we even make Bisquick!
Jemimah, General Mills
General Mills, sorry if Bugles make you sick!
Gardetto's, General Mills

General Mills!
General Mills!
General Mills!
General Mills!

What's up now, General Mills!
Not gonna lie, this was fun to do

And---they all have WHOLE GRAINS! Wow. ;) (surprised you didn't have that annoying sampled voice say "Yummy yummy!" in the chorus...)555

[SOTM] A parody with all the right ingredients, but which was missing the fulfilling crunch needed to get full marks 444

(SOTM) Not sure which cereals I eat are GM, but if this could be shortened up somehow/edited a bit they might want it as a theme song. Good job Mike.

SOTM--LOL...this was great! Quite original, too!

SOTM...very creative. Would make a good commercial, with GM cereals kicking Kellogs off the shelf.

I like Weezer and I LOVE cold cereal, so it feels like you wrote this specifically for me. THANK YOU.

I'm shocked at your sin of omission - leaving out the "Gimme gimme"s (Aggro's suggestion for that is a nice one), but I'll forgive you thanks to lines like "missing an arm, maybe two" and "Post blows goats." And again, THANK YOU.

Hey, it was fun to read too. The simplicity of a rhyme usually makes it funnier for me, and this had a lot of lines like that.
Mikey Squirrel - July 31, 2005 - Report this comment
SOTM.. Very clever. I agree with 2nz about simplicity being funny. And also I have my own parodies about Pilsbury, Raisin Bran, and Cheerios. I love food parodies. 555
