The Lyrics

A friendly knight asks his king-lord-person a simple question: whyfore kill all the dragons?
I understand it's "knightly" to do that protection thing
By way of killing dragons, as they're brutes
But first tell me, Your Highness, why
Is it the first resort for knights
Surely it's more honourable to try some kinda truce?

Yes, they're dragons, evil dragons
I'm just askin' why it's a crime
To be hoardin' gold in a mine
Not just dragons with greed

No, sir, I'm not accusing you or your lords of hoarding cash
Wealth's too common a goal to be a crime
And no-one knows if it was man
Or dragon who first killed who, damn
It's all a tad suspicious to my eye

Could be dragons, least some dragons
Could be pals if we took the time
To just ask if they wish to dine
On us or our spare sheep
"Ask the dragons if they're assholes?
Sir Knight, dammnit, you've lost your mind"
That is possible, but if I'm
Right, we'll make history

Ho yeah, ho yeah
Ho yeah, ho yeah
Friendly dragons, sounds sweet

You hear somethin' out there?
Oh no! Dragons on our arse!
But wait, they're not attackin', how bizarre
"Greetings, humans, I'm here because
Us dragons would like you to stop
Killin' us just because of the species that we are"

Did that happen? Did that dragon
Straight up ask us to spare his kind?
"So he did as you said, Sir Knight
Give that dragon a treat"
That just happened, that big dragon
Simply flabbergasted, am I
It's what I've wanted all my life
Dragons chattin' to me

Ho yeah, ho yeah
Though we're allowed to kill them if they're bein' an arse
Ho yeah, ho yeah
Pen-pal dragon for me

So in dragon terms, these ones are more Paarthurnax than Alduin.

I wonder if the dragons sees humans as the monsters, I mean someone had to come up with that aside from that Sean Connery movie.

(Artistry) You have a way of writing your line structure is very weird. A lot of times you tag on a clause to make your rhymes work instead of making the entire line cohesive. You end sentences with ", man" and ", damn" all the time. It really makes some of your lines sound weird because grammatically your lines are written with a pause, but there is no such pause in the song's pacing. This parody was really funny, and I liked the concept and story a lot, the line structure really thew me off though. And I know I've mentioned this on other parodies of yours, but it really stuck out in this one because the Bosstones have a very specific cadence when it comes to pacing. Sometimes it works, but it didn't work for me here. Sorry.

I don't know if I have such an issue with the way you end your lines. I think you did a pretty fine job of keeping the story moving while being funny. Nice title sub as well. Good job!

(Artistry) Blaydeman does bring up a valid point that pacing isn't only just matching syllable count, it's also writing with the flow of the OS. It was a problem for me as well, but I loved the concept of asking why dragons are considered awful, kinda reminded me of How to Train Your Dragon.
