"Don't Quote"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I'm actually the kinda person the dude in this song is addressing. I can't stop quoting stuff that most of the people I know haven't seen (mainly stand-up comedians), but at least I have the decency to EXPLAIN.
Uh uh uh uh oh ooh
Why'd they have to quo-ote
That TV show
Called 'Scrubs'?

Uh uh uh uh oh ooh
Haven't seen that sho-ow
So please don't quote
From 'Scrubs'

Ev'ry time I'm talking with the guys
They'll be quoting stuff I haven't seen (haven't seen)
But if I say that I do not get it
They will all start laughin' at me (laugh at me)

I feel left out, start to pout cuz out and
Out: I am so pissed (I'm quite pissed)
Cuz I didn't see
Last night's ep of House: MD
Of all the things I had missed (had missed)

I feel like I'm not getting the joke here
Somebody could you kindly explain?

Uh uh uh uh oh ooh
Haven't seen that sho-ow
No, not once, so
Don't quote

Uh uh uh uh oh ooh
Must've missed that sho-ow
So please don't quote
At all

Now I'm feelin' kinda lame when they explain
And I still don't understand (understand)
Thinkin' to myself like
"Damn, I should watch more TV, man" (lots more, man)
It's cuz I'm missin' out and that really gets to me (gets to me)
Nearly got punched when I asked "Wait a minute, who's Buffy?" (who's Buffy?)

I know I am missing out on something
Somebody take a sec to explain

Uh uh uh uh oh ooh
Must I see these sho-ows
So I can know
These quotes

Uh uh uh uh oh ooh
Have to see these sho-ows
So that I al-
so quote

Watch the TV, wa-watch the TV
Pay attention, pa-pay attention
What they're saying, wha-what they're saying
What they're saying

Hear the cool lines, he-ar the cool lines
Get the words right, ge-get the words right
Quote all the time, quo-quote all the time
All the damn time

I feel like I'm missing an inside joke
Somebody could ya f***in' explain?

Uh uh uh uh oh ooh
Gotta see the sho-ow
So I can quote
The show

Uh uh uh uh oh ooh
Time ain't what I o-own
Can't watch at all
Can't quote

Uh uh uh uh oh ooh
No, haven't seen the sho-ow
No, not at all
Don't quote

Uh uh uh uh oh ooh
Have yet to watch the sho-ow
So shut your hole
Don't quote

[Underneath the above chorus:]
(Got no time to, go-got no time to
Watch the show, dude, wa-watch the show, dude
No TV, too, no-no TV, too)
And unless my math has failed me, this should be my 200th parody. Holy crap in a hat basket!

I would have perferred you to add some TV and Movie quotes in this but this was pretty good on a song that doesn't give you a whole lot to work with.

INCONCEIVABLE!!!.... sorry, I had to quote a movie. I agree with Matthias, good work on a hard to work with OS. 55, and my security code was "D2R", a song from DDRMAX2.

LOL! I'm a total quoter, I cringed guiltily through the whole thing. Excellent job, though...I liked it!
