The Lyrics

Truly the best way for a mobster to deal with a loose end, if by "best" you mean "cinematic" instead of "practical".
You always said you'd make me pay
Just never thought you'd pull it off
And now I'm just too tired, I'll take it
Sick of livin' on the run
My false identities are done then
Since all the screw-ups of my past
Have shown they had the grit and patience
To chase me down for my debts
So quit the suspense, I hate it, what is your method?

Oh, that's classic, that is, makin' shoes of cement
Hold me down so I'll never swim up from the river
No, wait, the ocean, that's deep enough for my sins
With my shoes of cement

I hope it's pretty deep, just so deep
That no scuba diver spots
My oxygen-starved ass, since that means
Since you found me, so could the cops
Hey, thanks for not leavin' me naked, clothes ain't worth a cent

Oh, this move is classic, makin' shoes of cement
Though I'm not so sure whether this schtick happened ever
That's 'cause concrete tends to take a long time to set (long time to set)
A waste of good cement (that's just me)

Cementin' feet
Wish you'd hurry up, I don't need your damn speeches
Cementin' feet
Start drenchin' feet, don't reiterate the mess I'm in

I had debts, I didn't pay 'em, not much else to get

Oh, just get on with it, make me shoes of cement
I'm resigned to the nethers of the sea, whatever
Do you have to check if you've got the proper mix?
I'm not understandin' how your prep is lackin'
Like I've already said, makin' shoes of cement
Is a process that's never a snap of the fingers
Yeah, I'm takin' the piss at the risk of a bullet (risk a bullet)
I just want my cement

I don't know what's doing my head in more, the lack of consistency in whether the band name is spelled as 20 or Twenty, or how my memory is giving me an entirely different sound for the instrumentation. Presumably it's just mixing it up with a different MB20 song but still, it's annoying.
