 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Eminem

Parody Song Title:

"AmIRight"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

This is different to 'Encore/Curtains Down'. It just skips the bit where Eminem shoots the audience.
Ch-ch-ch-Chucky
Spaff.com, haha
b-b-b-b-b-bobpiecheese! Haha

Chorus:
Cause we came here to write some parodies here
On AmIRight
And if people all D-K-T-O-S
We'll just let it slide
Cuz we just wanna make some fun of tunes we know
At least right at the time
So all the people on the web, it don't matter where you live
Let's write some sh*te

Verse 1:
Type some comments for the conq'rer
Come on now, type some comments for the conq'rer
Come on now, here we go
ChuckyG, would you look at my par'dy
See if it's OK to get on the site
Get on down

Times up, comp's over, I've lost, Spaff wins
He's won all the contests, yeah, how'd he do that, man?
Ooh yeah, new year, new par'dists here
Look at Chucky goin' crazy again
At his end, he looks at all the songs we send
Some go out, some get on site, how does he do it?
Raving mad, when he comes back there's lots more to check, how sad
And once he's done, he's on his back, too bad

He's posted it now, now ev'ryone can find you
You've hopped on the grind, you're hip, we all like you
You walk around, what song should I parody next?
You think a hit, just typin' up the lyrics' the trick
Go start all of the thinkin' and typin', checkin' and ditchin'
Look and observe, written parodies give you lots of hints
Why ten paced-good, funny parodies later, give time an'
World-wide, you're on the charts of parodists and still climbin'

Chorus:
Cause we came here to write some parodies here
On AmIRight
And if people all D-K-T-O-S
We'll just let it slide
Cuz we just wanna make some fun of tunes we know
At least right at the time
So all the people on the web, it don't matter where you live
Let's write some sh*te

Verse 2:
When Spaff.com eats French, y'all will eat the French, eat the French
French, French French
And when Matthias says bleep, you get out the house and bleep
Bleep, bleep, bleep, bleep

The pacing's tremendous, how come you cannot see it?
I don't gotta parody another song to let you know this song's hip

We keep the people laughing into stitches
Spaff's not showin' off, he's just brilliant at writin' parodies

But the critics say conq'rer's off, conq'rer's crud
Conq'rer's all washed up, who the hell is bobpiecheese at?
Conq'rer's this, conq'rer's that, y'all got the wrong impression
You must off the wall, he rocks, 'cause he leaves you all guessing
So Ryan read my par'dy and just drop your little secret (what)
I'm gon' have my soundclick.com section any minute (uh huh)
That's why I always par'dy rap songs least
To make you wait and wait for them like Spaff's next thing

Cuz I done typed with the stars, entered in the contests
Part of a generation of newbie parodists
Whom if it wasn't for Al to write his crap
Maybe be raised to be busmen
Whom may have never got to read our par'dies
Grace the pages of AmIRight.com
Dissed on Bush and his enemies and allies
Just call on the par'dy masters
Like Phil Alexander, Arwen, Tim Mayfield
And Matthias, iisryan, and don't
Forget the Spaff.com, man, that's why we came to

Chorus:
Cause we came here to write some parodies here
On AmIRight
And if people all D-K-T-O-S
We'll just let it slide
Cuz we just wanna make some fun of tunes we know
At least right at the time
So all the people on the web, it don't matter where you live
Let's write some sh*te

Parodists, come on!

Pace now, type it, you know how it's done
We diss some music, who cares where we're from
It's no secret, we're all parodists
When Spaff's involved, there's plenty laughter again

And plenty giggles involved, the Complicated song par'dies
Really, all of them aren't any better than my roomie
All except Spaff's are all real crappy, let's rally

End the Complicated par'dies
Now raise height of your seat, Lund's about to sing
Burn a lot of of Spaff songs to a CD

You can catch me on the computer, downloadin' more Spaff to
The hard drive, with the free space decreasin' thanks to Spaffster

So never say never cuz Chucky will keep it together
Along with editor peoples presents the return of Malcom Higg (-ins, maybe)
No one could do more par'dies
We tear up the web and leave without a strand of seriousness, uh

Chorus:
Cause we came here to write some parodies here
On AmIRight
And if people all D-K-T-O-S
We'll just let it slide
Cuz we just wanna make some fun of tunes we know
At least right at the time
So all the people on the web, it don't matter where you live
Let's write some sh*te

Yeah, haha
Still parodies
And don't worry about that Weird Al album
It's comin', we gonna make him do it, haha
bobpiecheese, S.T.G., Syncronos, Johnny D, Red Ant Spaff.com
We ain't leavin' let's go!

DKTOS, but very interesting read.

Um, I provided the mp3, larry.

Nice job, Conqueror of Pi. Fun to sing along with - I think I'll try it at the next family reunion. Of course, I especially liked your sub for "Crunk! Crunk! Crunk!" And thanks for the shout-out. And the shout-out after that. And the one after that. And...

DKTOS, but it was quite clever. Thanks for the sound file; it really helped me. I liked the chorus and you had some hilarious verses. 555

(SOTM) Found lyrics, tried to match...whoa there, partner. That was probably your best yet. Rap songs are killer to parody from what I've heard, so this'll be a definite contender this month.

I loved, loved, loved, loved your song, DKTOS, but it dosn't matter I was in a song!!!! WOOT!!! THANK YOU CONQ!!!

(SOTM) This was good before I listened to the original, now it's even better.
Peter Andersson a.k.a K1chyd - March 11, 2006 - Report this comment
This one is good but it suffers from the same thing as my own entry does, it's site specific, I'll put it on my short list but that's one thing I usually tend to hold against a parody when it comes to making that final hard decision for what five to go with here in the SOTM. Still got some more to check out before getting down to that, but I thought it be fair to let you know that already, at least it's honest feedback, right?
Red Ant - March 12, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) Thanks for the shout-out bobpiecheese. Great pacing, a few missed rhymes which I overlooked since raps parodies almost never get them all anyway. One thing though; Phil Alexander's parody called "Lubricated" is very funny, as is Steve Cavanagh's "Obligated".
bobpiecheese - March 12, 2006 - Report this comment
Sorry, Red Ant (and, of course, so to Phil and Steve), I haven't actually seen those. I just know that Spaff has done one, and that in a inthe00's.com forum, K1chyd (I think) mentioned that too many people did a parody of 'Complicated', and mentioned that Spaff's was the exception.
Peter Andersson a.k.a K1chyd - March 13, 2006 - Report this comment
Yes, Spaff's the exception - He's too many people all in himself! ;-)
Stuart McArthur - March 13, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) great Spaff tribute, Pieman! - good to see you encouraging the young bloke!
Confission - March 17, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) inspiring. makes me wanna write some sh*te

[SOTM] Painful OS. Very well paced, but lack of any real humour let it down 534
bobpiecheese - March 18, 2006 - Report this comment
Confission: Hee-hee. Dumb Ass Kid: Lack of humour, eh? That could be because of 3 things: a) the song's about this site, b) you weren't mentioned in the song, or c) you are living up to your name.
Phil Alexander - March 24, 2006 - Report this comment
:-) Very well written - having done one (and one only) I appreciate the work that goes into Eminem parodies... (and thanks for the thumbs up, Red Ant... I have to admit that I think "Lubricated" is kind of funny, too.. you can even listen to it here: www.soundclick.com/philalexander)

(SOTM) I've never tried a hip hop parody, and now I know why...it looks bloody hard to do! Big respec' for your effort, fellow Aussie dude. 555

SOTM - Hmm, I get the feeling a number of people might have gotten a bit cranky over not being mentioned in your song. (It's ok, I'm not bitter; I said SOME people, not ME). I know nothing about rap except that I don't like it, but despite never seeing this OS before I can detect a pace and rhythm to it so it makes sense.
bobpiecheese - March 30, 2006 - Report this comment
Kristof: That is so true. Because I just happen to be an idiot, my very first parody was a rap parody. Stupid! Heh, heh, heh...dude.
Larry Hensley - March 31, 2006 - Report this comment
(SOTM) See above!

(SOTM) WHAT??? You PRESUME to think that the MERE MENTION of my name in your parody will garner you a triple-five? Congratulations! You're GETTIN' TA' KNOW ME!
Arwen - April 01, 2006 - Report this comment
SOTM...well you certainly aren't joking about one thing...I AM a party master. Oh, wait a second...nevermind.

Lots of fun here...I usually can't get into rap parodies because I get lost WAY too easily...but I did alright here, and of COURSE flattery does wonders, as well...=)
