Misheard lyrics (also called mondegreens) occur when people misunderstand the lyrics in a song. These are NOT intentional rephrasing of lyrics, which is called parody.
This page contains all the misheard lyrics for Ramble On that have been submitted to this site and the old collection from inthe80s started in 1996.

And I can smell the vase
And now I smell the rain
And now I smell the vase
And now I smell the rain
And though I helped feet drag a thousand times
And though our health we drank a thousand times
But God, with the evil one crapped up and slipped away with her.
or
But God, with the evil one cramped up and slipped away with her.
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her.
But Gollum at the evil wall
But Gollum and the evil one
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her...chair!
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her....yeah.
But Gollum, and the evil one
But Gollum, at the evil wall
I have listed to this song multiple times from both record and CD, and both times have heard a distinct 't' sound (at) rather than 'd' (and). I also cannot hear any 'n' sound (one); it's more like "wa," most likely "wall" with an inaudible 'l' at the end (some artists let 'l' sounds trail off). Just thought I'd run this by you and see what you think.
But Gollum, and the evil wall crept up and slipped away with her.
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her.
But Gollum, the evil warrior stepped up and slipped away with her.
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her.
I'm gonna... Sh*t, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm gonna... Sh-yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
In the darkest bricks and mortar I met a girl so fair,
but gone on, that evil wall crept up and slipped away with her.
In the darkest depths of Mordor I met a girl so fair,
but Gollum, the evil one, crept up and slipped away with her.
For the longest time I thought these lyrics were about a woman who was a victim of being walled up alive until I read that it was about the Lord of the Rings and it made better sense.
I’m gonna ride along
I’m gonna ramble on
Now I smell the rain
And with it pain
And it's hittin' my brain.
Now I smell the rain
And with it pain
And it's headed my way.
Rebel dog, And now's the time, the time is now, To feed my soul
Ramble on, And now's the time, the time is now, To sing my song
The evil one cracked up and sipped O.A. with her
The evil one crept up and sipped away with her
