And God, I know, I'm woman.
And God, I know, I'm one.
And God, I know, I'm won
And God, I know, I'm one
And god, I know a woman
And God, I know I'm one
And it's been the ruin of everyone I know
Thank God, I know, I've won.
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God, I know, I'm one.
Animals',
"House Of The Rising Sun"
And it's been the ruin of many a World War
And, God, I know, I won.
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God, I know, I'm one.
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God, I know, has won.
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God, I know, I'm one.
And it's been the ruins of Mayans, oh boy
In God, I know I've won
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God, I know I'm one
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's on a truck.
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's on a drunk.
And, God, I know, I've won
And, God, I know, I'm one
I got one foot on the black one.
I got one foot on the platform.
Animals',

I'm goin' back to New Orleans
To where it all began.
I'm goin' back to New Orleans
To wear that ball and chain.
In God, I know I've won.
And God, I know I'm one.
Is a suitcase and a chub
Is a suitcase and a trunk
Is when he is on and drunk.
Is when he is on, a drug.
Is when he is on and drunk.
Is when he's all drunk.

The earth put on a train.

The other foot on the train.
My mother was a tailor, she sold my new blue jeans.
My mother was a tailor, she sewed my new blue jeans.
My mother was a taker
Stole my new blue jeans
My mother was a tailor,
Sewed my new blue jeans
My mother was a traitor,
Sold my new blue jeans
My mother was a tailor,
sewed my new blue jeans
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and a gun.
Now, the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and a trunk.
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and trunk
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's Donald Trump.
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and trunk
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's on a drunk.
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and trunk
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's all a-drunk.
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and trunk
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's on a drunk.
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and trunk
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's on a trump.
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and trunk
And the only time he'll be satisfied
Is when he's all drunk.
Now, the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase filled with junk.
Now, the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and a trunk.
Eric Burdon, The Animals' lead singer, appeared to subscribe to the British belief that, to sing American folk and blues songs, you don't have to be easily understood.
Oh a wonder on the platform
Well with one foot on the platform

And it's been a ruin for ten years or more

And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God I know I'm one
There is a house in Newark, (at) least.
There is a house in New Orleans.
There is a house in Newark.
There is a house in New Orleans.

Spend your life in sin and misery.

Down in New Orleans

And the only time he’ll be satisfied
Is when he’s on a trump

This stanza is written several different ways. Most often confused with Bob Dylan’s version. Musicxmatch says:” Now the only thing a gamblin' man ever needs/Is a suitcase, Lord, and a trunk/And the only time a fool like him is satisfied/Is when he's all stone cold drunk” I swear there is no “Lord” on that first line. Maybe a different version? Unsolved mystery?
My mother was a sailor, soiled my new blue jeans.
My mother was a tailor, sewed my new blue jeans.
My mother was a trailer
Sold my new blue jeans
My mother was a tailor
Sewed my new blue jeans
Now the only thing a gambler needs
A suitcase in his truck
And the only time that he's satisfied
Is when he's on drugs.
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and trunk
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's on a drunk.
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase in his trunk
And the only time that he's satisfied
Is when he's on the drums.
Now the only thing a gambler needs
Is a suitcase and trunk
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's on a drunk.

The only time he'll be satisfied is when he's all drunk.

Of Annie, a-wah-wah.
In God, I know, I won.
There is a house in New Orleans

And it's been the ruin
Of many, a poor boy,
And God, I know, I'm one.
