Why They're Inappropriate: The verses have absolutely zilch to do with the chorus anyway but this particular line is so out of the blue even the colour blue is thinking 'what the...?!' What do tennis shoes and the fact she doesn't need to buy a new dress (which I'm sure all of us can imagine, considering...) have to do with her being infatuated with someone? Unless her love interest plays tennis and she wants to keep up appearances?
