Tell me:
Have you ever loved and lost somebody
Wished there was a chance to say I'm sorry
Can't you see?
that's the way I feel about you and me
Baby:
Have you ever felt your heart was breaking
Looking down the road you should be taking
I should know
cos I loved and lost the day I let you go
Unlike Brandy's "Have You Ever" (a totally different song that just happens to have the same title as this one), which is about having a crush, the S Club 7 version is about after the break up. In C major then D-flat major. Upbeat & Depressing Lyrics is a stable for many of this band's ballads, right up to their final swan song: "Say Goodbye".

I.. - Oh I really miss you - Yes I do - Yeah
I.. - Oh I really miss you - Yes I do - I miss you
I.. - Oh I really miss you - Ohhh yeah I do
The name is obvious. If you want to talk to your best friend over the phone, but you have lost contact. Then think back. The song was out 1999 (and remained popular into 2000), so it was only just the start of the communication boom. This is one of the songs where Jo O'Meara is NOT the lead singer; that job went to Rachel Stevens. The song is in D-major.

Sometimes goodbye,
Though it hurts in your heart,
Is the only way for destiny
Sometimes goodbye,
Though it hurts,
Is the only way now for you and me
Though it's the hardest thing to say
I'll miss your love in every way
So say goodbye
But don't you cry
'Cause true love never dies
This is S Club's swan song before they broke up and moved on. This band's motto is "No matter how hard it is to say farewell, it must end with hope and optimism". Since the band is appealing to kids and early teens, it may try to teach kids about how to deal with moving on to a new school, a new environment, etc. The music video was about them in their final hours together living in a house. This song starts in A-major, then shifts to C-major, then ends on D-flat major.
