The Mavericks', "All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down"
The Lyrics:
All you ever do is bring me down
Makin' me a fool all over town
And they all wonder why I wear a frown
That's 'cause honey, all you do is bring me down
Why:
This is an upbeat track about an unhappy relationship.

The Mavericks', "Here Comes My Baby"
The Lyrics:
Well here comes my baby,
Here she comes now,
Walkin' with a love, with a love
That's oh so fine,
Never to be mine no matter how I try.
Why:
The tune and the cadence are uncommonly rousing. But the singer is lamenting a lost love whom he refers to as "Never to be mine no matter how I try".
