Why:
The whole song is pretty creepy (it's about a man who kills his wife and bricks her corpse up in the wall) but it's all sung to such a bouncy, cheery melody that if you're not listening to the words you'd be forgiven for thinking "Aw, what a jolly little singalong ditty this is...!"
