Current days are new, not old.

You say you want to come back again some day
Darling here's what I say: la-di-da-di-da
Oooooh! Feisty! That's going to show him, Carly, isn't it?? I bet he'll be crying traumatically for days after you dared to say 'la-di-da-di-da' to him! What an absolutely corny excuse for a bridge. If you got nothing to say...as Ronan Keating philosophized: 'you say it best when you say nothing at all'...

I had some dreams; they were clouds in my coffee.
Dreams are hallucinations in one's brain (when one is asleep). They are not clouds in any beverage.

Well, you walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht.
You mean there's a standard manner for walking onto a yacht??? And if so, would walking into a party that way somehow contribute to a case for the title assertion of 'You're so vain'??

You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
It *obviously* is about 'you'! What else would it be about? Duh! I for one find this especially humorous, as I can't help but feel that Carly Simon is singing it to *herself*, which makes for a hilarious paradox.
