Elvis Presley's, "Any Day Now"
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
Any day now
I will hear you say 'Goodbye, my love.'
To my sad surprise.
Why They're Nonsensical:
If it's a surprise, then how does The King know what she's going to say?

Elvis Presley's, "Blue Moon"
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
Blue Moon
You saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Why They're Nonsensical:
Who or what is this 'Blue Moon' and how can it see into Elvis' heart? Also, how does Elvis' heart dream? The brain is supposed to dream, not the heart!

Elvis Presley's, "In The Ghetto"
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
As a crowd gathers 'round an angry young man
Face down in the street with a gun in his hand
Why They're Nonsensical:
A crowd wouldn't gather around such a man if he's alive. He's angry and he has a gun! Even though he's face down, he could still fire the gun. If, instead, this man is dead, then he couldn't possibly be angry.

Elvis Presley's, "Jailhouse Rock"
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
If you can't find a partner, use a wooden chair.
Why They're Nonsensical:
He's suggesting to use a wooden chair as a partner? That makes no sense at all!

Elvis Presley's, "Kentucky Rain"
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
And up ahead's another town that I'll go walking through
Why They're Nonsensical:
There are no "towns" in Kentucky; all incorporated municipalities in the state are officially referred to as "cities".

Elvis Presley's, "One Night"
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
I ain't never did no wrong
Why They're Nonsensical:
The lyrics are in English, but a very mangled form of it, as one can see from this triple-negative, which implies that the narrator "always did no wrong", which means that he always did right. So it could actually have four negatives.

Elvis Presley's, "Stuck On You"
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
A team of wild horses couldn't tear us apart.
Why They're Nonsensical:
The word "team", when in reference to horses, means two horses harnessed to the same vehicle (such as a carriage, sleigh, etc.) When horses are harnessed to any vehicle, aren't they domestic horses (pretty much by definition), and not wild?
