Sabaton's, "40:1"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Baptised in fire 40:1.
Spirit of Spartans,
Death and glory.
Soldiers of Poland second to none,
Wrath of the Wehrmacht brought to a halt.
The 8th of September it starts,
The rage of the Reich,
A barrage of mortars and guns,
Stand fast, the bunkers will hold.
The captain has pledged his life,
"I'll face my fate here!"
The sound of artillery strike,
So fierce the thunder of guns.
(later)
Always remember, a fallen soldier,
Always remember, fathers and sons at war.
Always remember, a fallen soldier,
Always remember, buried in history.
Why They're Misrhymed:
The chorus, 2nd verse and bridge do not rhyme (at the end). But I love this band, and I'm not complaining about their lyrics not rhyming.

Sabaton's, "82nd All the Way"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
There on that day,
Sergeant York entered the fray
Saving the day,
82nd all the way.
Why They're Misrhymed:
"Day" is rhymed with itself here.

Sabaton's, "Attack of the Dead Men"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
And that's when the dead men are marching again.
Osowiec then and again,
Attack of the dead, hundred men.
Facing the lead once again,
Hundred men charge again, die again.
Why They're Misrhymed:
The word "again" is said at the end of nearly every line [over 30 times in the whole song]. So it is rhymed with itself.

Sabaton's, "Back in Control"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Sent to the islands to secure what is ours,
Marching ashore in the cover of night.
Hide until dawn and attack in the twilight,
Shake them awake with the thunder of guns.
(later)
Back in control, push them further out to sea,
Falklands in our hands, back under British reign.
Push them back further and out from the islands,
Into our fleet that will stop their retreat.
Mark their positions and call in the airforce,
Harriers and Vulcans strikes at our command.
Why They're Misrhymed:
The first verse: Lines 2 and 3 rhyme, but the 4th line doesn't. "Sea" and "reign" don't rhyme. Verse 2 has no rhyming lyrics.
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "Bismarck"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Into formation, the hunt has begun,
Death and damnation, the fleet is coming.
(later)
At the bottom of the ocean, the depths of the abyss,
They are bound by iron and blood.
The flagship of the navy, the terror of the seas,
His guns have gone silent at last.
Why They're Misrhymed:
Pre-chorus 2 and the bridge don't have anything rhyming.
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "Christmas Truce"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
A Christmas on the frontline,
We walk among our friends.
We don't think about tomorrow,
The battle will commence.
When we celebrated Christmas,
We thought about our friends.
Those who never made it home
When the battle had commenced.
Why They're Misrhymed:
Both parts of the outro have the words "friends" and "commence" at the end of the sentence (or "commenced" in the last line).
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "Christmas Truce"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Hear carols from the trenches,
We sing O Holy Night,
Our guns laid to rest among snowflakes.
A Christmas in the trenches,
A Christmas on the front far from home.
Why They're Misrhymed:
None of these lyrics rhyme.
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "Christmas Truce"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Is that why we bury our friends?
We were all, we were all, we were all, we were all friends.
Why They're Misrhymed:
Both lines end with "friends".
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "Christmas Truce"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Silence, Oh I remember the silence.
Why They're Misrhymed:
Rhyming "silence" with itself. However, apparently this comes from a quote by Alfred Anderson, the last known combatant to participate in the 1914 World War 1 Christmas Truce.
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "Counterstrike"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
3 nations fallen in 6 days of war,
Traitorous neighbours, received as deserved.
Under the sun in the dust of the war,
1 nation standing stronger than before.
First into Egypt and sent them to hell,
Then turned their forces to Jordan.
Climb up the mountains where Syria awaits,
Break them in hours, protect Holy Land.
Why They're Misrhymed:
The word "deserved" doesn't rhyme with the other 3 lines in the first part of the bridge. Part 2 has nothing rhyming.
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "Dreadnought"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
A shadow moves across the water in pursuit,
It splits the waves, commands the sea and defies the wind.
Instilling fear among its prey, feels naught for itself,
Ahead the sea, lies calm awaiting the storm.
(later)
The North Sea has drawn them near,
The Fleet of the High Seas approach,
A contest of titans commence,
These days will dictate their fate,
The grand fleet prepares their guns,
Unleashed as the Dreadnoughts clash at last.
Why They're Misrhymed:
The first verse and bridge have no rhyming lyrics.
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "Fields of Verdun"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
The spirit of resistance and the madness of the war.
So go ahead, face the lead, join the dead,
Though you die, where you lie, never asking why.
Why They're Misrhymed:
"Why" is the only word that doesn't rhyme with anything else in the song. Also, "lead" is pronounced "led" again to properly rhyme.
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "Final Solution"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
When freedom burns, the final solution
Dreams fade away and all hope turns to dust.
When millions burn, the curtain has fallen,
Lost to the world as they perish in flames.
Why They're Misrhymed:

Sabaton's, "Ghost Division"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
They are the Panzer Elite.
Born to compete, never retreat,
(Ghost Division).
Living or dead, always ahead,
Fed by your dread.
Why They're Misrhymed:
The word, "division" doesn't rhyme with anything else in the chorus. Surprisingly, it's only said once.
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "Gott mit Uns"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Spent the night in formation,
To the battle we marched in the dawn.
We were ready to die for our king,
On the fields of Breitenfeld.

On September the seventh,
We filled their hearts with fear.
Seven times they attacked on that day,
Seven times they retreated.
Why They're Misrhymed:

Sabaton's, "Lady of the Dark"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Who shall be remembered in the ancient house of war?
All the medals, all those stories
In the alley of the greats.
Celebrated hero
Who has wandered through the dark.
She stands before you,
All that metal shining bright.
(later)
Lied to be respected,
And to change her brother's fate.
Took a bullet, earned her freedom
And a place among the stars.
Why They're Misrhymed:
The lyrics don't rhyme here.
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "Panzerkampf"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
In the Soviet Union summer 1943
Tanks line up in thousands as far the eye can see.
Ready for the onslaught, ready for the fight,
Waiting for the axis to march into a trap. (later)
Driving back the Germans
Fighting on four fronts.
Hunt them out of Russia,
Out of Soviet land.
Why They're Misrhymed:
The misrhymed word "trap" suddenly comes at the end of the first verse after every other line rhyming. I thought it would end with the word "right". Also, "fronts" and "land" do not rhyme.
Submitted by: Katy

Its time has come to an end.

Sabaton's, "Poltava"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Time has worn the soldiers down,
Marched for many miles.
In the eastern lands so cursed,
Time to make a stand.
Tsar has scorched his nation's land,
Nothing to be found.
Hunger grasps the soldiers heart,
20,000 strong. (later)
In the shade of morning mist
Advancing on their foe,
Bullets break the silent air,
Wasted battle plan.
Why They're Misrhymed:
The verses don't rhyme.
Submitted by: Katy

Sabaton's, "Resist and Bite"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
War is coming swiftly,
The border's closing in.
We're a company of soldiers Mere forty rifles strong!
(later)
Ardenner ground is burning,
And Rommel is at hand.
As the Blitzkrieg's pushing harder,
The war is all around!
(later)
No matter our fighting,
Their numbers will still count.
We're outgunned and few in numbers,
We're doomed to flag or fail!
(later)
But when captured by the Axis
And forced to tell the truth,
We will tell them with a smile,
We'll surprise them with a laugh!
Why They're Misrhymed:
The verses don't rhyme. The pre-chorus doesn't either, but I think that's to fit the rhythm.
Submitted by: Katy

They say, "all" one line later.

Sabaton's, "Screaming Eagles"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Sent from the skies jumped into the unknown,
The march to Berlin has begun.
Spearhead the charge surrounded by foes,
Eagles are leading the way.
France is still under enemy rule,
Push Axis retreat.
(later)
Dig your own foxholes or dig your own grave,
The storm is about to begin.
The siege has begun, there's nowhere to run,
Panzerkampfwagen emerge.
Tanks and mortars are shaking the ground,
Prey of man and machine.
(later)
There's no surrender, there's no retreat, the Wehrmacht is drawing near,
There's no reinforcements, they're fighting all alone.
(later)
Sent from the skies, ended up in Bastogne,
As Easy, as hard as they get.
Nazi command request and demand,
Offer surrender declined...
Why They're Misrhymed:
There's a few rhymes here, but a lot of the song doesn't rhyme.
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "Soldier of 3 Armies"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
From the Finnish lakes,
Into Germany and USA,
All the wars he came across.

Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "The Carolean's Prayer"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Ahead, facing the lead,
An army of Swedes, performing God's deeds.
Showing no fear, their judgement is near,
Making their sacrifice.
When the king and his men,
Their enemies sight, prepare for the fight,
Banners held high, ready to die,
Hear how they praise the Lord.
Why They're Misrhymed:
Although some of the lyrics here do rhyme, lines 4 and 8 do not. Also, they often pronounce "lead" as "led" to rhyme even though it should be pronounced as "leed".
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "The Carolean's Prayer"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Far beyond their nations' borders,
There's an army on the march.
For religion, king, and glory,
In the name of Christ, their enemies chastise.
Taking orders from the heavens,
Through hostile fire they will march.
Unaffected by the volleys,
Facing death, their faith will keep their fear at bay.
Into battle facing the fire,
Lord, thy will be done.
Into battle walk in a line.
See the white in their eyes, Caroleans are marching on...
Morale and discipline unites them,
A common faith to keep them strong.
Always on their way to heaven,
In the name of Christ, their enemies chastise...
Why They're Misrhymed:
None of these lyrics rhyme. However, the second part of the chorus has rhyming lyrics.

Sabaton's, "The Last Stand"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
For the grace, for the might of our Lord,
For the home of the holy,
For the faith, for the way of the sword,
Gave their lives so boldly.
For the grace, for the might of our Lord,
In the name of His glory,
For the faith, for the way of the sword,
Come and tell their story again./Come and tell the Swiss Guards' story again.
Why They're Misrhymed:
Instead of ending with the word, "story" that rhymes, the chorus ends with "again", which doesn't.
Submitted by: Katy
Sabaton's, "The Last Stand"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
In the heart of the Holy See,
In the home of Christianity,
The seat of power is in danger.
There's a foe of a thousand swords,
They've been abandoned by their lords,
Their fall from grace will pave their path to damnation.
(later)
Under guard of 42,
Along a secret avenue,
Castel Sant'Angelo is waiting.
They're the guards of the Holy See,
They're the guards of Christianity,
Their path to history is paved with salvation.
Why They're Misrhymed:
"Damnation" and "salvation" do not rhyme with either "danger" or "waiting".
Submitted by: Katy

The word, "done" is the only non-rhyming word.
Submitted by: Katy
