The Highwaymen's, "Highwayman"
The Insincere Lyrics:
I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico I went aloft and furled the mainsail in a blow And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed
Why They're Insincere:
1st line: Schooners are coastal vessels and not intended for high seas, let alone rounding the Cape Horn. 2nd line: Schooners have fore-and-aft righs which are furled on the boom and the job is done on the deck. Square rigs are furled on the yards. Moreover, reefing and furling is done _before_ the weather gets foul. 3rd line: Schooner rigs do not have yards. Yards are for square sails.
