My apologies to the Greatest Generation for messing with this old gem, but favorites get stuck in my head and turn to parodies.
When it's Halloween again all over the town
And adults regress again this time around
And leaves aren't all that will fall from above tree tops.
And if my house gets tee peed I'll call the cops.

Halloween began here in mid August. Still, the actual practice of trick or treating has not been seen in my neighborhood in over 20 years.
Yeah Patrick, my neighborhood too! I hate buying 3 bags of candy (1 mini bars, 1 Pops, and 1 mixed) and have maybe 20 kids total pop by from 7-10 pm. That means taking the leftovers everywhere I go for months. By January, in the trash, $20 largely wasted.
Not so on our street. We'd by bags of candy for all the beggers bussed in from across town and it would be gone in a flash.
