This parody is completely wrong. Right down to the name. It's "Mrs. McKernan." Oh, you didn't know? She got into politics by sleeping with the Governor. It's true: Her husband, John "Jock" McKernan, was once Governor of Maine. But she is doing the right thing for her country, as opposed to the far-right thing. Enough is enough: We the people have had it with these MFin' right-wingers in that MFin' Republican Party! The people demand health care reform NOW!

Of, course, Michael Pacholek is technically correct about the current married name of the senior senator from Maine, but she goes by the last name of her first husband, Peter Snowe. And, poetically, since she is well known as Senator Snowe, and since McKernan doesn’t seem to fit into a song as well, I stand by my title. As John Barry commented, this parody was begging to be written.
I would also question Mr. Pacholek’s assertion that “The people demand health care reform NOW!” In an ABC News/Washington Post poll taken after President Obama’s nationally televised health care address last month, Americans by 54-41 percent say that the more they hear about health care reform, the less they like it. Mr. Pacholek might want more government involvement in health care, but most Americans realize that ObamaCare will create more problems than it will solve.
