JAB - I DO like Das Rheingold and the other three ring operas. They contain the finest orchestral excerpts ever written (my personal favorites are The Magic Fire Music from Die Walkure and the finale from Gotterdammerung). Once you know all the leitmotifs, the operas themselves become understandable despite the interminable length and a language I neither speak nor understand. What were we talking about? Ah yes, beer jingle parodies. Keep 'em coming, barmeister. ;D
