Parody Song Title:

"Wreck the Hulls"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

A twist on one of my usual M.O.'s.
Wreck the hulls of iron ore-ship.
Oy-yi-yi-yi-yi, Oy-yi-yi-yi!
Church in Detroit, go to worship.
Oy-yi-yi-yi-yi, Oy-yi-yi-yi!
November winds have imperiled.
Oy-yi-yi, oy-yi-yi, oy-yi-yi!
Ship known as "Edmund Fitzgerald."
Oy-yi-yi-yi-yi, Oy-yi-yi-yi!

Wreck the hulls in North Atlantic.
Oy-yi-yi-yi-yi, Oy-yi-yi-yi!
Of the ship known as "Titanic."
Oy-yi-yi-yi-yi, Oy-yi-yi-yi!
Said I needed ice for drinking!
Oy-yi-yi, oy-yi-yi, oy-yi-yi!
Now the great big ship is sinking!
Oy-yi-yi-yi-yi, Oy-yi-yi-yi!

Wreck the hulls, it's quite a hassle.
Oy-yi-yi-yi-yi, Oy-yi-yi-yi!
On the ship called "Morro Castle."
Oy-yi-yi-yi-yi, Oy-yi-yi-yi!
Am I seasick, stomach churning?
Oy-yi-yi, oy-yi-yi, oy-yi-yi!
Off of Jersey, ship is burning.
Oy-yi-yi-yi-yi, Oy-yi-yi-yi!

Wreck the hulls, it's not good for ya.
Oy-yi-yi-yi-yi, Oy-yi-yi-yi!
On the ship "Andrea Doria."
Oy-yi-yi-yi-yi, Oy-yi-yi-yi!
Maybe Christmas will be merry.
Oy-yi-yi, oy-yi-yi, oy-yi-yi!
Aboard the Staten Island Ferry.
Oy-yi-yi-yi-yi, Oy-yi-yi-yi!

Wo ist der Wilhelm Gustloff? Has anyone ever tried to salvage the Andrea Doria? I heard there was a custom Chrysler show car on board, built in Italy for exhibition purposes. The Andrea Doria sinking was far better documented, fewer lives were lost. Just read that the Stockholm, which rammed and sank the Andrea Doria, is still operating as a cruise ship, under the name Athena.

Extra funny, because it's like a Jewish Christmas song.

Michael - This definitely gives me a sinking feeling! You are well-versed in maritime disasters. "Lots of sinking ships in hokum...Don't forget the General Slocum!" ;D
