The Lyrics

As far as I know our Mike Pacholek is the only communicating writer on the quantity top 10 list who has never had a parody written about him, apart from one I think he wrote himself. Mikelopedia, we love you, this will up that rare subcategory 100 percent. (And boy do I hope I'm guessing right that your name is to be pronounced with the stress on the middle syllable).
PART 1: IN WHICH WE EXPLORE MIKE'S SUPPORT OF THE NEW YORK YANKEES.

Mike Pachoolek wrote his team
Told them how they sucked
"The Boston Red Sox reigns supreme
Now I'm feeling fucked
You have jumped the shark, and I must remark
With a whack, quit the slack,
And one day I'll come back"
Mike Pachoolek wrote his team
Told them how they sucked

PART 2: IN WHICH WE TAKE A LOOK AT MIKE'S VIEWS ON STAR TREK.

Mike Pachoolek wrote Q's grange
Told them he was wrong
"The laws of physics non can change
Gravity's too strong
And that E's MC, is a certainty
You're a schmuck, you're a puck
Think I'm gonna upchuck"
Mike Pachoolek wrote Q's grange
Told them he was wrong

PART 3: IN WHICH WE EXAMINE MIKE'S FEELINGS TOWARDS THE P.O.T.U.S GEORGE W BUSH.

Mike Pachoolek wrote the Pres
Told him he's a dork
"Say Sir, you reign with such noblesse
But can't use a fork
You're an achy brake, and a lying snake
Evil Corp, Axis Corp
War you're'sponsible for"
Mike Pachoolek wrote the Pres
Told him he's a dork

PART 4: IN WHICH WE GATHER UP TO EASE MIKE'S AVERAGE ANGST COME DECEMBER.

Mike Pachoolek wrote Saint Nick
Told him he'd been nice
"I may just be a redneck hick
But I have no vice
If they say so; Lies! And I'll you apprise
I've been phat, I can bat
I've been good and all that"
Mike Pachoolek wrote Saint Nick
Now he had songs twice!

Michael: There’s a story behind this parody. You were one of the first to comment on my parodies on a more or less regular basis, sometimes a bit harsh and always candid about it when you thought I could have done better, especially on some Star Trek parodies of mine. In the autumn of 2003 I came up with the idea of ”Mike Pacholek wrote to Q” but I didn’t manage to make that one work back then, instead I ended up writing ”Malcolm Higgins wrote to M” - http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/traditional294.shtml - when he hit the 1000 mark. However, I kept the Q verse for future use and when I found it again the other day I took another shot at the whole thing. (But I stopped before the fifth verse: “Mike Pacholek wrote to God,’Don’t expect me soon’…”. That could have come too close to the truth I think) ;-)

Actually, we wrote one for him a few years back called "Michael's Parodies are Renowned" to "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" but this one is much better! :-) (I wonder what it is about Michael that he inspires children's rhymes instead of rock songs... ?) ;-D

Oh boy... Well, this isn't the first one about me, but it might be the best... my own braggadocio to the tune of "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" exempted. First of all, I'm impressed that you have the name pronounced right (accent on the second syllable), but you have it spelled with two Os in the text? That's a misspelling I've never seen... not even in the Netherlands. You worked my "jump the shark" references in, good. But I almost never use the damned F-word. You mentioned the word "puck," which is good, and as a Swede, you'll understand when I say "I want my hockey back!" The Bush part you almost nailed, but I would never call him "Sir" -- as referenced in my parody "Bad, Bad Georgie Bush." And a "redneck hick"? Whoa, did you miss the mark on that one! How many redneck hicks vote Democratic? Besides my man Bill Clinton, I mean. But the spirit was willing, the execution was funny, and I send five thank-yous. Kristof: I may have all the answers, but that doesn't mean they're all right. Merry (or Pippin): Are you saying I'm immature? That's mean! I want my mommy!

that is brilliant stuff, Peter - nothing short of fantastic pacing - and I like the chapters idea too (somehow that seems very Michael too) - I tip my hat to you, MP

Michael: Sorry about being wrong on the Redneck bit, I was under the impression you were born somewhere in that region, or live there, or both.

The double oos are meant as a pronounciation aid for others, and in case I was wrong about that myself. I also toyed with writing it with double 00s, and work in a Bond reference along the lines of 0.0.LEK, but that was cut due to my own 0.0.Something IQ and inability to make it work.

As for hockey; according to Swedish media there's a 99 percent chance you get it back next season, all parts and the sport itself stand too much too loose by not start over. And to take back lost popularity there will be (so I read) a two weeks hiatus over the olympics so that the US and Canada can (try to) kick some Russian, Swedish, Tjeck and Finn butt and give the sport headlines some two months before the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
