The Lyrics

There's a foal in the attic, Dear Liza, dear Liza
There's a foal in the attic, Dear Liza, there's a foal.

Then kick it, dear Henry, Dear Henry, dear Henry
Then kick it, dear Henry, Dear Henry, kick it.

With what shall I kick it, Dear Liza, dear Liza?
With what shall I kick it, Dear Liza, with what?

With your leg, dear Henry, Dear Henry, dear Henry
With your leg, dear Henry, Dear Henry, use your leg.

But my leg is too long, Dear Liza, dear Liza
But my leg is too long, Dear Liza, too long

Then butt it, dear Henry, Dear Henry, dear Henry
Then butt it, dear Henry, Dear Henry, butt it.

With what shall I butt it, Dear Liza, dear Liza?
With what shall I butt it, Dear Liza, with what?

With your ass, dear Henry, Dear Henry, dear Henry
With your ass, dear Henry, Dear Henry, your ass.

But what of the bull, Dear Liza, dear Liza
But what of the bull, Dear Liza, the bull

Well deafen it, dear Henry, Dear Henry, dear Henry
Well deafen it, dear Henry, Dear Henry, deafen it.

With what shall I deafen it, Dear Liza, dear Liza?
With what shall I deafen it, Dear Liza, with what?

With a tone, dear Henry, Dear Henry, dear Henry
With a tone, dear Henry, Dear Henry, a tone.

The tone is too high, Dear Liza, dear Liza
The tone is too high, Dear Liza, too high

Then pet it, dear Henry, Dear Henry, dear Henry
Then pet it, dear Henry, Dear Henry, pet it.

With what shall I pet it, Dear Liza, dear Liza?
With what shall I pet it, Dear Liza, with what?

A ladder, dear Henry, Dear Henry, dear Henry
A ladder, dear Henry, Dear Henry, a ladder.

Where shall I get it, Dear Liza, dear Liza,
Where shall I get it, Dear Liza, where shall I?

In the attic, dear Henry, Dear Henry, dear Henry
In the attic, dear Henry, Dear Henry, try the attic.

There's a foal in the attic...

Your voice must be feeling a little horse after singing that parody.

This sits with Tom Leher's "Irish Ballad" as one of the best of its kind. Thanks for more folk material! (only in my living room).

Could have read this one all day, so much potential for inane ramblings... fun read. :)
