The Lyrics

This is my second parody on this site. It's another Lord of the rings one, partially inspired by Leonard Nimoy's "Ballad of Bilbo Baggins"
Once there was a hobbit,
Who lived in a hobbit hole,
In the side of a hill,
Neath' an old oak tree,
And I'll tell you surely,
Although he didn't know it yet,
Soon we'd be questing,
Just Bilbo and we.

Questing with Bilbo,
Questing with Bilbo,
Soon we'd be questing,
Just Bilbo and we.
Yes, I'll tell you surely,
Although he didn't know it yet,
Soon we'd be questing,
Just Bilbo and we.

After a quick party,
We marched with Bilbo out the door,
Towards Rivendell, Mirkwood,
And the lands beyond,
To win back a treasure hoard,
Stolen by the dragon Smaug,
We were a questing,
Just Bilbo and we.
Questing with Bilbo,
Questing with Bilbo,
We were a questing,
Just Bilbo and we,
Bilbo marched out his door,
Shoved by Thorin and his dwarves and I,
We were a questing,
Just Bilbo and we.

We rode on for days,
Fighting Gollum, spiders, orcs and more,
And got trapped in the halls
Of the old elf king,
But Bilbo found his courage,
And he rescued us from certain doom,
And our questing continued,
For Bilbo and we.

Questing with Bilbo,
Questing with Bilbo,
We kept on questing with Bilbo, you see.
And we kept on marching,
Closer to the dragon's lair,
Our quest was near ended,
For Bilbo and we.

Finally, we confronted,
Old Smaug in his treasure trove,
Twelve dwarves, a wizard, and a hobbit,
You see.
But a man had already slain the beast,
And so the gold was up for grabs,
We fortified the mountain,
And protected our spoils.

Questing with Bilbo,
Questing with Bilbo,
He returned with his share of the treasure to home.
His adventuring done,
He decided to write a book,
And I hear he's got a young nephew, you know.

Questing with Bilbo,
Questing with Bilbo,
He's been there and back,
Now he's put pen to page,
And I tell you surely,
I've never seen so brave a soul,
In my whole life as this fuzzy-toed sage.

You chose a good melody for that subject. Now what can you do with "Stars and Stripes forever"?

A lot of rhymes and the humorous tone of the original got lost in the parody, but at least the lyrics are clean and fit the melody. Eh...

Thanks for the great ratings. Just for clarification, what does DKTOS mean...I know I probably sound like a noob.
