The Lyrics

Todays submissions are two songs with but a single idea... the other one is "Where have all my files gone?"
There's a hole in my data, dear Techie, dear Techie
There's a hole in my data, dear Techie - a hole

Then mend it, dear User, dear User, dear User
Then mend it, dear User, dear User - mend it

But how shall I mend it, dear Techie, dear Techie
But how shall I mend it, dear Techie - but how?

Just restore it from backup, dear User, dear User
Just restore it from backup, dear User - restore

But where is the backup, dear Techie, dear Techie
But where is the backup, dear Techie - but where?

In the fire safe, dear User, dear User, dear User
In the fire safe, dear User, dear User - fire safe

But what is the number, dear Techie, dear Techie
But what is the number, dear Techie - it's what?

It's in the System, dear User, dear User, dear User
In the System, dear User, dear User - system

But where in the system, dear Techie, dear Techie
But where in the system, dear Techie - but where?

In the database, dear User, dear User, dear User
In the database, dear User, dear User - database

But there's a hole in my data, dear Techie

This is like management telling the Exchange Admin to send out an email message telling the users that their email is down. One Dbase ver 5.0, One Oracle ver 5.0 and one MSAccess ver 5.0.

C'mon, Junior. Say "Da Da" . . . "Data" . . . He's YOUR kid, Muriel! Very well done Phil. Happy Macnam.

:-) Guy, I'm sure that's been asked for on more than one occasion... dBase 5.0, eh? You're showing your age, here...

Having come up with the circular idea for restoring from backup, I couldn't decide which one to write, this or the "Where have all the flowers gone" parody... so I did both. Thanks for the kind words, everybody.

Yikes, was going to do the familiar "Hole" for a church talent show, but think this one is better. Will sure get more laughs!! Thanks!

Umm, well how can I put this, it didn't really make much sense. I thought some parts were too long, and when I started to sing it I had to rush words in. Thumbs down. Sorry
