The Lyrics

Starting to think about ideas for a Christmas parody - the working title here was "Rudolph the Christmas Prepper" - but the whole thing ended up not christmassy at all.

A YouTube version of the original song can currently be found here.
He had Rockets and Landmines
and Rugers and Uzis,
1 Smith & Wesson and 38 Specials,
prepared for the fall
the most loaded roughneck of all.

Rudolph the outback roughneck
Always had a gun up close
And he did never drop it
Even when he had no clothes

Even the local preppers
Used to stay out of his aim
They kept away from Rudolph
And his private shooting range

Then one foggy autumn eve
Taxmen came his way
Rudolph quoted "Bill of Rights"
Brought out Gatlin Guns to fight

Next day the Alt-Right loved him
But the army stopped his spree
Rudolph the outback roughneck
Now's in penitentiary!

Never heard of the term 'Roughneck' (Now I'm the one learning things!) Is it like an American redneck? Seems similar with all of the ammo. Why is this Australian man quoting the 'Bill of Rights' though? Do they have their own 'Bill of Rights' in Australia? So many questions so little time!

I am, or was, under the impression that a roughneck is someone who's mostly hired to work on a day to day basis in the USA, hard manual labour, as a helping hand on a farm, or at an industry with temporary need for more hands - and the word itself kinda exchangeable for redneck, but maybe implied a bit more of a loner. Gonna do better homework next time. Just read it as redneck here and it'll be okey for now I'll guess.

if you like guns better than your own children, you might be a roughneck... 5s
