The Lyrics

Not a good year for Sony Pictures as far as their credibility goes. Maybe it is a good thing that they'll lose James Bond. Someone gotta save 007 before Sony decides to do what they did to Ghostbusters. Yeah likes some people, I do fear the worst for Spiderman.
Sony roasting on an open fire,
The flames needing to be hosed,
Helpless screaming being drowned by the fire,
They would all yell out "What the hell?"

Nobody want Fembusters and lame Barbie film,
They got us all in a fright
Social justice defense will soon explode
This is something they can't white knight

What were they thinking by the way;
We're tired of the trash they expects us to pay
And every year the cucks will force us to try,
Angrily rip us for not paying and watch

And so I'm tired of what Sony does,
To films from long ago,
Although its been said many times, many ways,
I hope they rack up Razzies all day
Though to tell you the truth, I am looking forward for the potential crapfest that is the Amy Schumer's Barbie. They they can cast Rob Schneider as Ken, we'll get something going.

What the hell you got against the female Ghostbusters other than being a chauvinistic A-hole? So the film lost money. It was released against two more popular films. But it did well enough that Sony has guaranteed a sequel based on the post-credit revelation of Zuul. Many films are now female-dominant. Star Wars is going that way. Ever hear of Aliens, the Resident Evil series, the Underworld series, and upcoming Ghost in the Shell? Women make up more than 50% of the world now and over 50% of the United States. Hillary won the most votes overall. Get over your male testosterone bias. In other words, don't be a d*ck!!!

"Spider-man Homecoming" comes out 7/7/17. Tom Holland stars. It's Marvel, but Don't is distributor and has creative control per agreement. I hope it doesn't suck.

Dorothy - not sure if trolling, or just stupid. but I'm sick of the words "Sexist" & "Racist" being thrown around, if somebody doesn't just flock to something, because a woman, or a black person, or a black woman made it! I'm all for equality, but that means they have to be judged fairly, rather than given a pass if something sucks just for being female/black! 5s
Dorothy - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
New Ghostbusters is an all-female version made by Sony and directed by a man, Paul Feig and starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth. It's obvious you never saw it to jump all over me like that. I didn't mention my race either, but I am indeed a proud black woman. So that makes YOU an ignorant Southern racist, sexist, dirtbag in my book. The fact that you object to anything all-female casted (except Hemsworth) is the proof. Why don't you get off your fat ass and watch it? Then judge. Max is so ignorant, that he thinks the film is part of a politically correct movement and because women were stars in it, it must be really bad. Did you even bother to read my reply about women in cinema? No, you just blew my ass off and started ranting. I wonder if Max has even seen it. It's not great, but it's not bad either. In fact, my Target sold out of it, months ago!!!

Yes Dottie, I realize you didn't mention race. it's just so common for somebody who doesn't like something made by a woman, or a black person, to immediately be labeled a sexist or racist! for example, Travis Tritt didn't like Beyonce's performance at the CMA awards. Instead of simply accepting the fact that there DO exist people who, *gasp* don't like Beyonce's music, it got turned into a race issue! well guess what? I don't like Beyonce either, but I DO like Darius Rucker & Charley Pride! am I racist, just because I dislike one black singer for their music? and as for objecting to anything female-casted, ever heard of The Golden Girls? Older women, sure. But it is one of my all-time favorite sitcoms! It's theme song, "Thank You For Being A Friend" is a cover of a song, originally by Andrew Gold, performed by Cynthia Fee who is, by the way, a woman! now guess what? I actually PREFER her version to Gold's! but no, I must be sexist, because I don't feel the need in re-writing a classic, just because it needed to star women, right? no, it must be because I'm sexist! it just HAS to be! There's no other explanation! And yet, I feel there would be a very different conversation going on if say, The Golden Girls became The Silver Men in an all-male recast! there would be an uproar over how sexist that would be! James Rolfe caught serious flack for not supporting the new Ghostbusters, in case you're not familiar, James Rolfe is "The Angry Video Game Nerd" and the funniest mofo on the internet, maybe ever! and people harassed him for not supporting a pointless re-write just to appease feminazis who are offended because women AREN'T the stars of everything ever produced! if it's not broken, don't fix it! Furthermore, I am actually a fan of Kristen Wiig's, but I feel her talents were wasted on this so-called movie. Don't stop being you, Max! Don't give in to the PC machine!
Max Power - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
Thanks Jon, I'm not going to stop fighting a good fight against the SJW and feminazi types. Part of the reason why I'm dumping on the POS reboot film was the flak AVGN received when nothing he said are even sexist. After all the nonsense the people involved in the production have been spewing, I hope Sony does make a sequel. The reason? If they want to lose more money, be my guest. No amount of idiots will be enough to keep Sony's attempt afloat. If anything, Dorothy helped encouraged me to keep it up. Another parody related to this will be up sometime after new year.
Max Power - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
Also, it's gotten to a point where the term "sexist" became more of a compliment. I'd rather be a "sexist" than supporting that crap.
Outsider - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
Pardon me, but what has race have to do with this new Ghostbusters film? Sony had an idea, a creative one, to do a female version. Where's the crime? If you are a old die-hard, of course, you might get upset. But new generations need new materials. I saw the movie and it was OK. I even bought it on dvd on sale for $10. Part of life is experiencing new things. Jonathan, you have admitted that you prefer things from the '80s and that's all right. But if you don't try new music and open your mind how will you ever discover new artists? You can't tell me there's been nothing new since the 1980s. No one's stereotyping you, YOU are stereotyping yourself! And I agree with Dorothy. Have you seen the movie or not? If not, you don't have a right to criticize or critique it. Going by what other people believe makes you a fool. See it yourself and then make a decision. It's what we normal, educated people do.
Max Power - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
Nice try but here's a problem, should people need to see it before they can say anything? The problem is that they had two trailers to get people want to watch it and they failed both times. One trailer is one thing but if they managed to drop the ball after two, something's wrong. Also, genderflipping the cast is "creative"? Seriously? There are plenty of ideas to be creative but this isn't one of them, more like something created to pander to people with PC agenda such as Amy Pascal isn't going to inspire that much creativity. Yes generations do need new materials but at the same time the materials have to be good, otherwise it won't work. Sony didn't help themselves when they fail to address the criticisms the way they should have which is by at least assure people to give it a chance before judging rather than attacking them. By doing what they had done several times, that would drive away potential audience that could have give it a chance to help the movie break even. In the end, Fembusters have gotten what it deserves and hopefully it'll have some Razzies to look forward to as well.

Yes, I prefer the '80s, that's true. I don't care for much new, but I do give it a shot! That's how I know "The Amazing World of Gumball" for Cartoon Network, is one hekkuva funny show! Especially for a more recent one! Also, Chris Stapleton is a newer country artist, and I enjoy his work immensely!
Max Power - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
I prefer "Regular Show" though it started to get stale somewhat. I do like how Gumball did make some references that kids shouldn't get, such as Alan's "Yaranaika" face from that certain one-shot people had talked about over the web due to...

Rob Arndt - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
Don't know much about the fighting, but the film budget was $144 mil and it made $229 mil domestic & worldwide. I think it lost money for two reasons: 1) it was overmarketed and 2) it faced strong opposition from "The Secret Life of Pets." It opened good with $46 mil but just lost steam and went to video. I collect movies, so I got my DVD from Target on sale for $8.64! I don't think you can compare the two films from '84 and '16. There's a 22 year period in between and moviegoers have changed along with the theaters and numbers of films released yearly. Back in the '80s films like "Ghostbusters", "Rambo", "Terminator", " The Empire Strikes Back", "Rocky 4", etc... we're well anticipated events. Today, there are too many genres and sub-genres, more animated and 3-D movies, IMAX, etc... If a movie doesn't take in a few hundred million right off, it may be doomed. And there are many in the movie industry that are pushing strong female leads. I love Star Wars, so Rey for Episode VII and Jyn Erso for Rogue One worked out great. Carrie Fisher's death is further proof that Princess Leia carried some serious weight in that universe. I recall complaining about the reboot of "Battlestar Galactica" with female dominant cast, but was pleased by the series. Now that Universal is making a new movie based on the '70s series, I am eager for the old formula again. I guess it just matters to each individual. Some saw the new "Ghostbusters" as feminist while many saw the movie critics as male misogynists and anti-feminist! I just see it as a *** movie. It had great visuals and better SPFX, but lacked in overall comedy.
Max Power - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
There's another reason, theaters are entitled to cut of the profit who doesn't help. The percentage depends on the chains since some may take just 25%. People love to try to pump the movie because of the all women cast but if it's bad, it's bad. It is funny how the bad trailers was part of the marketing that at least $100 million was spend on, I mean really... Movie with strong female leads can do well if done right as you said, but in the end, the new GB isn't one of them. I rather watch some of Adam Sandler's post-Click movies than that (and note I said "some" since trailers for "That's My Boy" and "Jack & Jill" made me want to vomit).
Jimmy - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
For me, the worst Adam Sandler movie was that Zohan garbage. When he caught a fish in his ass crack I left the theater.
Rob Arndt - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
The movie theaters make only 20% on average for ticket prices as the studio takes the bulk. The theaters make the bulk of their money on concessions, advertising, theater rentals & private events, and gaming collections. I thought it was 50/50 in my youth until one of my roomies who worked for Syufy explained it to me!
Max Power - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
Not sure since chains do vary so it's a tough call, even then the movie's screwed considering. I heard it was much worse in China where they take even more so even if the movie didn't get screwed by "cultural" issues regarding ghosts, it still may not break even. Back to the topic about bad trailers, I think the trailers for some of the Adam Sandler movies I have listed are even worse...GB is bad but at least not potentially vomit inducing like "That's My Boy".

More bad news, Max. Sony is considering Idris Elba to play the first Black James Bond for the 25th film set to open in November 2018. Craig was offered $150 mil to do two more Bonds but is reluctant. There's a short list of 8 actors as next Bond with Idris up top. And, of course, blonde Margot Robbie is the wanted Bond girl. Music opening song possibly by Zendaya.
Max Power - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
I don't mind Margot Robbie being the Bond girl but Black 007? *sigh* Of course if we criticize the race flip of a well established movie icon, we'll be called "racists". I wish Sony Hardware can distance themselves from Sony Pictures, especially with the latter trying to outdo themselves in this mess.
Max Power - December 28, 2016 - Report this comment
"You're immature", lol. That's funny coming from you considering how you try to defend this movie. Having female cast doesn't make it a good movie and you have to realize that Sony didn't help themselves when they had been playing up the narrative from the onset. Also the Rotten Tomato score is faulty when you realize that the percentage is amount of "positive" reviews that were tallied up. Even then many of the reviews were hardly about the movie but the politics which made it less credible. Sorry but GB 2016 isn't a good movie and nothing can change that. Truth hurts doesn't it?
Agrimorfee - December 29, 2016 - Report this comment
Idris Elba is filming The Dark Tower, based on Stephen King's saga. If that takes off like a rocket and a franchise gets greenlit as planned, I don't think he will be approaching Bond (although that would be a fantastic choice).
Oh brother - December 29, 2016 - Report this comment
If Idris Elba plays Bond can we expect the following: a gold-dipped PPK with ivory grips, Bond drinking Cuba Libres, and Bond with a new pimped out Jaguar? I imagine the first title might be Goldnigga or License to Ill!!! Move over Austin Powers, the SJWs have taken over!
Max Power - December 29, 2016 - Report this comment
That's nice Dorothy, if hurling insults is the best you can do rather than addressing points that have been made, then I think the one whose opinions that are invalid are you. You have pretty much show the reason why SJWs and your kind of "feminism" have been looked down on. If anything, first thing you should be doing is try to help yourself or otherwise, who will be taking you seriously? If you get triggered by a song parody on a website, you need to get a life.
Max Power - December 29, 2016 - Report this comment
Here we go again and this time you're Janet? How about when Sony tries to play up the narrative when the trailers were hated on and turned it into something political? Being directed by a man doesn't matter considering Feig was known to have his own issues toward men as he even said it himself. You didn't address the points that have been made as you have been busy hurling insults which doesn't help your case. You don't have to use different pseudonyms as your posts gave it away in any case. If the marketing failed to draw people into watching the movie, whose fault is that?
Max Power - December 29, 2016 - Report this comment
Actually none of us are telling you what to watch, just saying that we have no intention to watch something that doesn't look good due to two trailers that should have draw us in but didn't. Not to mention the one who have been telling us what to watch have been you, especially if you're going to defend the movie by hurling the same tired insults all over again under different screen names and to add to that, insult someone for watching something? Pretty ironic if you ask me.

wowie wow wow wow!!! the trolls are restless tonight! alright, let's clear this up. I have digital cable, and on this digital cable, there are movie channels, and on these movie channels, are movies! including the "Groanbusters" movie, so yes, while it was a colossal waste of my time, I HAVE seen the movie! and as I said, big Kristen Wiig fan here, but her talents were wasted on this! funny enough, I get the feeling you folks dismissing "Gumball" & such as "kids' shows" haven't seen them, have you? while yes, they ARE technically kids' shows, but there's plenty of humor a kid just wouldn't get, that teenagers/adults would enjoy, in fact, I'd go as far as to say that "Gumball" could arguably be enjoyed more by an older audience, than it ever could by toddlers! also, again I refer to "The Golden Girls," great sitcom, right? a classic? one of my personal all-time favorites! now, would it still be "creative" if an all-male re-make were done? or would there be cries of sexism?

There's nothing inherently wrong with adult cartoons. I watch Adult Swim on Xfinity and some of those shows are: Family Guy, King of the Hill, American Dad, Black Jesus, China, IL, Mr. Pickles, and Rick & Morty. You gotta be pretty world smart to understand the jokes, politics, history, sex stuff, and social situations. When I was younger I babysat my nephew's and so had to watch Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., what became Sprout tv. I saw Rugrats, Hey Arnold! Lazy Town (from Iceland), and many more kid shows. I liked most of them. So, what's the problem? Anyone can watch anything they want.

A 2005 study by Simmons Market Research determined that more gays and lesbians watched The Golden Girls than the general population in any given week. Admittedly, the show touched on homosexuality more than once: Blanche's brother came out as gay in one episode, Dorothy's college friend was a lesbian, and then there was that time that clueless Rose was trying to prove herself on her first day on the job as a production assistant on a local Miami TV talk show.
