"Mullah" as pronounced by people who actually are mullahs sounds like "Moo-LAA" and should be spelled as "mulaa" ... *Houris -- Arabic name for celestial virgins who await jihadis in heaven

Not bad, not bad at all. Good weapon selections and throwing in the Houri. Best line was five I.E.D.s IMO. 555!
Thanks Rob. You must have a good sub for "FIVE GOLDEN RINGS" if your parody is going to work. It's clearly the most emphasized line in this song (or any song, for that matter ;-D) Every sentient, English speaking person over the age of three knows that line. Other essential subs are for "four calling birds" because it restarts the song after "FIVE ... Also "a partridge in a pear tree" is also important. ...... You can probably scrimp on a line or two in days 6 thru 12 because you rush thru those days when singing
Indeed, the line "a partridge in a pear tree" is so important I was compelled to use the word "also" twice in that particular sentence to emphasize the sheer unadorned "alsoness" of its importance ........ Sheesh, where's an edit function when you need one ... (muttering incoherently)
Well CML, although I've done 4 of these out of 86, number 5 is coming tomorrow. You inspired me to write "The 12 Days of Christmas (1944)" ... Yeah, wrote it immediately after reading yours! Couldn't resist :-)
good one lennie! this is a other one of those parodies, which I imagine, WOULD be difficult! so I usually steer clear, although maybe next year, I'll finally get off of my duff and do one! if I were to parody this song, I would HAVE to use the lyrics "five onion rings" as a sub for the "Five Golden Rings" line. 5s

I really believe that and here's a complete list off the top of my head: Twelve Champagnes bubbling, Eleven Coffees piping, Ten Chevals peaking, Nine Martinis shaking, Eight mugs a frothing, Seven beers all dripping, Six German Rieslings, Five Fruit Soft Drinks, 4 Cold Collins, 3 Cola blends, 2 Brandy-Rums, and a Boilermaker for old Freddie! On the first day of Drinkfest, someone served to me: is the repeat. I'm too lazy to write this all out, so I'm giving it to you as collaboration. You write it out and take credit. It's my gift to you as a starter on this OS!

I haven't collaborated with another parody author here, since my older bro used to write! unfortunately, it seems that he's not much into the parody game anymore. shame, seeing as he's had some good parody concepts, which I may use in the future. As for the immediate future, yes, I plan on ringing in the new year, with a parody you requested some months back! I have also have one my mother requested, which should be going up on inauguration day! (Hint: it's about Trump!) thanks for asking, and keep your eyes peeled! ☺
Allright, you two scamps. Sheesh, whose thread is this anyhow? ....... Actually, J-man, it's not that difficult to compose in your mind. Only 14 original lines, unless you are going to continually change up "My true love gave to me." But it's a real chore repeating numerous lines over and over -- comes out to over 100 lines
CML, I just copy & paste after the 6th day, repeating the first two lines and then adding the single new line. Saves time. Still, it took me about 20 mins to write and post my latest submission for tomorrow. It's not that I don't like to write long parodies anymore. I just don't like a lot of OS that have massive repeat lines and addages like Michael Jackson songs and most pop songs of the '80s! I favor newer artists anyway. You want a serious challenge? Do Colette Carr's "F16" in which she fast raps and sings. I'll bet the pacing police can't do her accurately no matter the syllable match or rhymes. The pacing won't match her. I wanted to do that as "M16" but can't equal her rap nor the length even with my knowledge of the weapon in history and specs! Too hard.
