Parody Song Title:

"Angry Telemarketer"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

Ever deal with this nuisance?
The angry telemarketer
was nothing but a lout
Called and called again
'bout products he knew not about
Everyone hung-up and
he dialed once again
But the angry telemarketer
only did offend
So the angry telemarketer
Tried scamming with a friend

"Hello, I am Raj calling from India. It's about your Microsoft computer."

When I get the Windows call (usually from China) I play along, pretending to push the buttons the caller tells me. Then, when he asks me what I see on my screen I tell him "a baseball game" or "a man at an airport" or whatever is on my TV at the time. I then inform him that I don't own a computer. At this point the caller will usually use some Anglo-Saxon colloquialisms in a Chinese accent. Best one so far--some guy with an Indian accent called and said he was in San Francisco and was making appointments for a home improvement company. I told him I could use a new roof and siding. He knew my real name. I told him Patrick didn't live here anymore, but as the new owner I could use some repairs. I told him my name was Scandinavian, a bit hard to spell, but I would sound it out for him: U-P-P Y-O-R-R. A week later some guy called me from Kansas City and asked for "Mister Yorr". He was trying to find the bogus address in Kansas City, Missouri that I had given the telemarketer. I told him some hacker had gotten to my phone, then hung up on him. Upp Yorr!
