Lutefisk is part of a Scandinavian Christmas meal. Traditionally, it is cod fish in lye which makes it gelatinous. Usually served with boiled potatoes, mashed green peas in butter, and bacon. The drink is Akvavit. Minnesota has adopted this tradition which started in Norway.
