Parody Song Title:

"Jingal Wall Gun"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

An odd extra-long rampart gun used from 1700s through WW2, the Chinese Jingal wall gun was .60-.75 cal with a 60" barrel and overall length of 7-8'!!! Weighed nearly 50 lbs! Was originally a muzzleloader black powder type but by late 1800s had converted to Mauser-type bolt action with cartridge. Made by Tien Jin Arsenal which was later occupied by the Japanese.
Jingal wall, jingal wall, jingal wall gun
Jingal wall swings and jingal wall flings
Spotting and shooting up enemy thugs
.60 cal would make them all run

Jingal wall, jingal wall, jingal wall gun
Jingal wall shoots at very long range
Latter version bolt action like the Mauser
60" barrel high up in the air!!!

Was a high climb, rampart fight time
To shoot at foreign prey
Jingal wall fine when sights were aligned
Heavy fire, many soldiers slain

Pretty odd Jingal gun, 'bout 7' length
Cartridge tapered, bottlenecked
Tien Jin Arsenal, gun had strength

That's the Jingal wall
That's the Jingal wall
That's the Jingal wall gun!!!

I think there is an old English wall or rampart gun in the Nelson Art Gallery in Kansas City. The Chinese guns were much larger. Last week got to take a tour of the Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri. Built in 1940's because it was as far away from the coasts as one could get, and as close to Harry Truman as you could find the vast acreage for all the buildings. Sole US source for military 5.56mm, but over half now goes to civilian market. Also 7.65mm NATO, .50 Caliber, and 20mm. You would have enjoyed the tour.

When I was younger I visited US Army test centers, forts, and proving grounds. Got to handle some interesting arms. But since I live in Cali and not Az (Yuma), one of the nice places for old vintage arms was at the Winchester Mystery House that has a small museum and store there. Lots of old rifles and pistols. The opposite is ARDEC which tests developing arms.
