I did it in about 40 minutes in the dead of night. I give the site a B- in usability at this point. Anyway, I got a confirmation and I'm happy to have insurance and to be given the opportunity to browse all the variables in the two plans offered here (Blue Cross/Shield also has a bunch of options).

I know from healthcare.gov exactly the cost of my premium ($474.15/mo. for middle-aged me), the deductible, the co-pay, etc. I had to take less than what I preferred (I don't like having to use a participating physician), but I had a tremendous number of choices and I chose the most cost-effective one.
