Parody Song Title:

"12 days of O-Care"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

One more song on the Obamacare dogpile -- or should I say, one more song dog-piling on Obamacare
On the first day of O-care, Obama gave to me
A website crashing constantly

On the second day of O-Care, Obungle gave to me
Two deadlines missed
And a website crashing constantly

On the third day of O-care, Obummer gave to me
Three blame shifts
Two deadlines missed
And a website crashing constantly

On the fourth day of O-Care, Obamao gave to me
Four zero four
Three blame shifts
Two deadlines missed
And a website crashing constantly

One the fifth day of O-Care, The O-man gave to me
Five. Cancelled. Plans!
Four zero four
Three blame shifts
Two deadlines missed
And a website crashing constantly

On the sixth day of O-Care, His O-ness gave to me
Six thieves a-preying*
Five. Cancelled. Plans!
Four zero four
Three blame shifts
Two deadlines missed
And a website crashing constantly

On the seventh day of O-Care, His One-ness gave to me
Seven Sebel'us spinnings
Six thieves a-preying
Five. Cancelled. Plans!
Four zero four
Three blame shifts
Two deadlines missed
And a website crashing constantly

On the eighth day of O-Care, The One-ster gave to me
Eight rates a-spiking
Seven Sebel'us spinnings
Six thieves a-preying
Five. Cancelled. Plans!
Four zero four
Three blame shifts
Two deadlines missed
And a website crashing constantly

On the ninth day of O-Care, The Bam-ster gave to me
Nine lib'rals dodging
Eight rates a-spiking
Seven Sebel'us spinnings
Six thieves a-preying
Five. Cancelled. Plans!
Four Zero four
Three blame shifts
Two deadlines missed
And a website crashing constantly

On the tenth day of O-Care, O-meister gave to me
Ten polls a-tanking
Nine lib'rals dodging
Eight rates a-spiking
Seven Sebel'us spinnings
Six thieves a-preying
Five. Cancelled. Plans!
Four zero four
Three blame shifts
Two deadlines missed
And a website crashing constantly

On the eleventh day of O-Care, The BOTUS gave to me
Eleven thousand pages
Ten polls a-tanking
Nine lib'rals dodging
Eight rates a-spiking
Seven Sebel'us spinnings
Six thieves a-preying
Five. Cancelled. Plans!
Four zero four
Three blame shifts
Two deadlines missed
And a website crashing constantly

On the twefth day of O-Care, Obama gave to me
Twelve House Dems grumbling
Eleven thousand pages
Ten polls a-tanking
Nine lib'rals dodging
Eight rates a-spiking
Seven Sebel'us spinnings
Six thieves a-preying
Five! Cancelled! Plans!!

Ultra-right wing, white, fat asses sit around in the middle of the workday, sucking at the teat of Big Government (federal pensions, farm subsidies, disability, SSI) while making up insulting and childish variations on our President's name. Hey, a little bad news for the haters: Unemployment rate is down to 7%; Washington state voted for $15 an hour minimum wage. This must kill you smug jerks who have no moral qualms about the working poor, like the guy who walks back and forth from Brooklyn to his McDonald's job in Manhattan because the $5 fare is needed to feed his family. Can't pay him a living wage. The budget. Wouldn't be prudent.

The parody is completely trivial, egregious, and by its repetitive nature, too easy to write.

Hey, another brainwashed goose-stepping 0-bot. So, how's that you-should-be-happy-to-give-all-your-personal-information-to-hackers-and-death-panels enrollment drive of yours comin' along? How's your government-subsidized unpaid internship at Mother Jones going? Does your far-left-of-Fidel-Castro pal Michael Moore still sit around on his fat pasty keister at his Torchwood Lake estate in the middle of the workday sucking on his Hollywood tax breaks and subsidies? What are your lazy shiftless burger-flipping buddies going to do when we smug capitalists finally replace them all with inexpensive vending machines that actually deliver what the customer wants on demand and on time and don't spit in the food? How's that underemployment and labor participation rate looking? Are you going to be moving to Washington State now that it's a lazy socialist shirkers' paradise? The inquiring minds of your smug grinning Zionist flouride-chemtrail-spewing robot overlords want to know! Well, we know already, actually, but we'd like to hear it straight from the jackass's mouth, so to speak.

The polls are already swinging hard against you reverse Robin Hoods who steal from the working class and give to the far-left fat cats. As for what "vile political racist garbage" we're planning... Our plan is to revoke all exemptions from 0-care for your party, and force you to enroll in your own socialist programs. Also, those death panels overseeing your care will now be staffed with journalists from the Christian Science Monitor. A few housekeeping items here ... I don't want anybody taking my side to engage in the kind of smearing and name calling that the other side is throwing at me. For one thing, these comments show up in the "Latest Comments" section and it makes the whole website look like a haven for lunatics. Moreover, these rantings by the so-called champions of free and civil discourse expose then for the vicious hate-filled hypocrites that they truly are ..... For example, someone gave me three K's for my efforts. Gee, Wally, you think that a subtly veiled reference to the Ku Klux Klan? So basically, if I point out the obvious fact that Obama has been lying through his teeth for four years -- and is still lying -- in order to sell a program that is imploding right in front of everybody's eyes, that means I'm in favor of murdering black children? I think that supports a charge that I made on a previous thread that Obamao's supporters will go to grotesque lengths to smear anyone who opposes his policies -- but I guess I've just been proven wrong, right? ..... And as long as we're talking racial insensitivity how do you proggos justify the horrific and grotesquely false things you've said about Hispanic Ted Cruz -- Or do you, like the hypocrites that you are, excuse yourself from the "sensitivity" that you demand from others
Stop the hate!!! - December 07, 2013 - Report this comment
Len is living in denial and the fact that he has to defend himself so vigorously and repeatedly suggests that he is discriminating against Obama simply because he is black. His parodies support this view of constant racism. And denying it only makes it more obvious. Every President has had some controversy associated with their terms in office, but Obama has taken nutcases that have been proven wrong over his birth nation (Birther conspircy nutters), untruths over dealing with GWB's financial meltdown and the current recovery numbers, and now this GOP healthcare reform mob that wants to politically and socially lynch him for trying to help the poor and downtrodden in America, which includes a lot of minorities and immigrants. If that isn't racism, I don't know what is.
Callmelennie - December 07, 2013 - Report this comment
Another theme that seems to run through some of these negative comments is that, as a Republican, I could care less about the lives of poor people . This was a charge that was made by Obama himself; and seeing as how he has been caught lying thru his teeth about absolutely everything connected to this issue, he must be considered an unimpeachable source about this. In fact, Bush attempted Comprehensive Health Reform in 2007, which the Dem controlled Congress declared "dead in the water" upon its introduction in the House, which just goes to show you how "intransigent Republicans are. So basically, the compassionate Dems had no problems delaying a solution to the condition you trolls complain about for five years. A much less radical, and just as effective approach could have been fully in effect by the end of 2008....... And as long as we're talking about lack of moral qualms perhaps some of my worthy adversaries can explain why it's OK that's there have been 1200 exemptions to this shared burden handed out to Trade unions and other Obama political cronies and why it was OK to exempt everyone in the state of Nebraska from O-care in order to get it passed. Is it because these exemptions are illegal and violate the Equal Protection Clause? And why is it OK that your Democratic heroes in Washington are trying to exempt themselves as well

How are you doing today, Bennie Hattrick? That was quite a psychotic break you had yesterday, Slugger. Just remember, take your anti-lunacy pill every six hours on the hour ...... And while we're on the topic, how 'BOUT that paragon of liberal tolerance and fair-mindedness, "Stop The Hate!", who suggests that the mere fact that I respond to baseless and scurrilous accusations of racism is "proof" that I must be a racist. Why else would I defend myself? ..... Tell you what , STH!, I tried that line of reasoning myself this morning. I went up to a progg/irritant in my neighborhood and accused him of molesting my grandchildren. And when he protested by saying, "But you're only twenty nine years old, how can you have grandchi-", I beat him to within an inch of his life. And then I called the cops, who told me, "You had no other choice, Sir. Clearly, he's guilty of the crime you accused him of. Why else would he use facts and logic to deny it?" At which point, the cops read the clearly-guilty SOB his rights, "You have the right to remain silent, any denial you make will be used against you in a court of law."

And as for you, Aunt Jemima, if you're upset about the possibility of no song parodies honoring Mandela, why don't you take a break from marketing pancakes and syrup -- the cornerstone of all nutritious breakfasts -- and write one on your own. Is it because your only talent is in penning scurrilous and surreal smears? I can't think of anything that would work offhand -- but how about a nice "breezy" tribute to Gandhi, based on the Association's song "Windy" -- Who's speaking out from under a spin wheel .. Calling on Hinds to make their own cloth .. Who's in a flick that's starring Ben Kingsley. Everyone knows it's Gandhi ..... As for the story about Obama caught in a lie about staying with his uncle twenty years ago, what's earth shaking about that? It would only be earth-shaking if Obama had been caught telling the truth about his past

That would only hold true, Bill, if nobody was accusing me of racism at the time I was defending myself, but of course, that is an entire galaxy cluster away from what's going on here. I'm impressed with your idea of fairness, though -- if I say nothing my silence condemns me; if I defend myself, I prove the point through the ol' "the Lennie doth protest much" theory. Reminds me of the standard of proof used in Stalin's show trials in the Thirties ......... And as long as we're doing Shakespeare, what methinks is "The trolls doth smear much" There have been any number of conservative parodists doing all kinds of anti-Obama parodies lately, some of which have been much harsher than mine. But, with the exception of Barry Mitchell this weekend, there's nary a critical comment to be found. And yet here you all are spewing your onesies and projectile vomit all over my last three threads in a way that's unprecedented in the two years I've been here. Now that really is an example of "protesting much." I wouldn't care about the rhetoric, but the Republican Party, a genetic offshoot of the Kallikak Family, has famously opposed and is still opposing every fair-minded legislation we now take for granted, such as Medicare, claiming it will lead to socialism and rationing of health care. Sound familiar? Add "death panels" to bring the fear produced by their amygdalas up to date.

Oxymoron of the day: "Here I am trying to conduct a civil discussion about vile left wing race baiting..."

This just in. Breaking news: ProCon.org has gathered 13 peer-reviewed studies of behavioral and neurological studies and come to the conclusion that differences between Republicans and Democrats are more than skin-deep. The studies looked at things like differences between groups’ perception of eye movement, and aversion to threatening noises. Researchers also noted that Democrats had larger anterior cingulate cortexes, which are associated with tolerance to uncertainty, while Republicans had larger right amygdalas, which are associated with sensitivity to fear. Psychiatrist Greg Appelbaum said the studies point toward conservatives’ tendency to avoid something called self-harm, while liberals avoid collective group harm.

Kool-Aid, if you're referring to me, I signed up online a few days ago for Community Preferred in Oxford, Me. It is a PPO. Its metal rating is silver. I did it in about 40 minutes in the dead of night. I give the site a B- in usability at this point. Anyway, I got a confirmation and I'm happy to have insurance and to be given the opportunity to browse all the variables in the two plans offered here (Blue Cross/Shield also has a bunch of options).
What color is your Kool-Aid? - December 09, 2013 - Report this comment
Ah, at last someone actually on topic! Of course, I notice you say nothing about the price of this insurance or how it compares to all the previously available options this evil new socialist law has phased out, but that could be just because you don't know those things yourself. Contemplating what your reaction will be when you finally do find them out is... most amusing. In the end, the worst punishment to be inflicted on all the perpetrators of this crime against humanity they euphemistically call the ACA (because "0bamacare" is the new N-word, or so they're now claiming) is... the crime itself. The hangs and 404s are bad enough, but the sticker shock the vast majority of the site's visitors (who've just learned their previous insurance plans they liked are being canceled, by the way) are getting is far, far worse. As for you, Lennie (I always kind of thought your pseudonym was Call Melennie, actually; variant spellings of names are common enough these days), if you take a little time to examine this site's most prolific posters and their works, you'll notice it's pretty much been a far-left flaming ball of hatred and hypocrisy from its inception. It's just become more noticeable now because the haters' faith in their own fool propaganda is starting to slip. If you don't mind the trolling and flaming, you may as well leave the comments on, but if you really want to rattle your trolls' flamers' cages, I'd suggest cutting them off; nothing galls a lefty lunatic on here more than not being allowed to articulate his eternal hatred for you as anything more than a number rating.
W. Shakespeare - December 09, 2013 - Report this comment
I now know that you were using me as an excuse to let fly the most extreme of right-wing rants. You didn't ask for prices, so I didn't mention them. I know from healthcare.gov exactly the cost of my premium ($474.15/mo. for middle-aged me), the deductible, the co-pay, etc. I had to take less than what I preferred (I don't like having to use a participating physician), but I had a tremendous number of choices and I chose the most cost-effective one. Isn't that the essence of your beloved free market? One day I was a self-employed guy, scraping by with no health insurance because I couldn't afford the most measly one I could find, willy nilly. The next day, I had decent insurance. Nuts to your unsupported prejudices. Thank you, Pres. Obama!

I forgot to say that before Obamacare, I was either rejected or priced out of my range by a pre-existing condition -- high blood pressure. Now it suddenly doesn't matter. God bless us everyone, especially Pres. Obama.
Callmelennie - December 09, 2013 - Report this comment
Not surprised to hear that you have high blood pressure, Bill, seeing as how you were born in 1582...... And speaking of which, I'm glad someone finally laid the "right wing extremist" card. Opposition to Obamacare has reached 60% in polls, while the number of who "strongly support" -- ie, who would call opponents of O-care racist -- is around 15%. So what we have here is a lunatic asylum qualifying situation where 15% is trying to "prove" that 60% is an extreme minorities simply by calling them extremists ...... And finally,as long as we're on the topic, this whole idea was spawned by a similar song called "The 12 Days of Obamacare" on the website The People's Cube, which as of this moment has 7,500 views. It probably would be at 12,000 views if some free-speech-championing liberal hacker hadn't shut down the site last week with a virus. I must confess, I borrowed one line from it, "A website crashing constantly" ........ Yet another version was aired on Fox News, that bastion of ultra-extremism that for some mysterious reason crushes it's "mainstream" competitors in the ratings

Seems that you stirred up a hornet's nest of complaints based on race rather than reason! And you stood up and hit them back with everything but the kitchen sink using logic (a deadly weapon to ignorant fools everywhere)!!! Well done- 555!!! I think that if I write a similar parody and use reason, I will just give 3 facts: 1) Obama lied about not losing your pre-existing healthcare policies; that 2) the healthcare website was untested due to negligence and KS is responsible despite her spins; and 3) the site is so compromised that the bulk of "millions" that need the insurance will NOT have coverage by Jan 1, 2014- fact. One could even add a 4) site security compromised and abused by scammers and identity thieves!!! HOW on earth can anyone claim racism over these established facts??? Obama HAS told so many lies that challenging them seems perfectly normal regardless of party, race, gender, culture, or sexual orientation!!! Keep up the good work CML. Merry Xmas, Rob :)

Callmelennie; I love your song! As a recovering liberal, I've come to understand and appreciate what I formerly believed was the ONLY evil entity in our society, namely Republicans/Conservatives. I now know they were vehemently maligned by those who consider themselves to be the kinder, gentler side of the political spectrum. Being called names, such as "racists" has become white noise; it holds no meaning, so therefore, should be nothing to fear now. Progs/libs/dems, will never believe that it is those on the left of center, who are the intolerant bigots. They're the ones to call black conservatives "Oreos and Uncle Toms" because, as black-Americans, they're expected to "tow the party line down on the plantation" and support the brotha'. They're the ones who believe black-Americans, or any others considered disadvantaged, should be taken care of, as opposed to those of us right of center, who believe that everyone has the ability and the freedom to accomplish success, and don't need the government mandating rules that actually LIMIT their chances for success. I know my comment is off-topic, but I'm truly amazed at the hatred spewed on some of these sites, GENERALLY, progressives being more vicious. I look forward to reading more from you.

Meanwhile, according to the American Housing Survey, conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, the number of people living in gated communities stood at almost 11 million households in 2009.

There are two Americas, each living behind bars. Prison communities house the poor and pigmented, but not the Wall Street thieves who brought the country down in 2008; gated communities contain luxury homes for the white and affluent. There is yet another set of bars, and that is called Poverty.

Break into the life of a poor, innocent child, two years of age. He has been placed in front of a TV and given a bag of chips. His teenage, unwed, high school-dropout mother is in a drug-induced sleep. What will happen to this boy who will start school already behind intellectually and nutritionally, unexposed to books, computers, broadband – but exposed to neglect, crudity, and cruelty? Almost surely, he will not be able to pull himself up by his bootstraps like the idealized American, but end up behind prison bars.

Who on this site thinks about the growing social and economic gaps in this country, accelerated by exponential technological advances and inherited wealth – money and all the advantages it can buy: the best education, cultural enrichment, the “best” network of friends? The loudest voices on this site firmly believe that half the country consists of inherently shiftless Takers, and they, the self-styled Givers, are all too happy to talk about budget deficits being unloaded by relieving the Lazy Class of food stamps, unemployment insurance, Medicaid, etc.

People like me get my parodies voted down, not because of their lack of quality, but because of my views. I warn you: the biggest problem in this land is the growing inequality of opportunity and the decrease in geographic and upward socio-economic mobility. This consequence of unbridled capitalism is truly the stuff of revolution. You who have the leisure and the relatively privileged lives to scribble parodies and to hurl the vilest invective at people who see the world as I do – you do not have much more time to say, “I feel comfortable among white conservatives.”

Abraham Lincoln, who was a lawyer for railroad barons and who corresponded with Karl Marx before and during the Civil War, wrote, "I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country….corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.”

But for the reforms of T.R. and FDR, Lincoln's prediction of doom was nearly realized. Be very afraid, malefactors of great wealth, despisers of the poor and their supporters on this site: your savior has already come twice; there is no third time.

Loved your comment, Melissa60, but I wasn't going to respond because I didn't want to start up another m*n*-sh*tstorm. Alas, twas not to be. Oh well, Christmas is over -- I suppose I am fated to gird my loins anew and sally forth to do battle ...... For now, I leave my foes with this: one of the results of our running commentary battle is that "12 days" now has almost 300 views, as many as the four submissions that follow it combined. It's also my second most viewed parody of 2013, right behind one of my personal faves, "Call Me Moby" my Carly Rae Jepson/Cliff Notes version of "Moby Dick"

Thanks Anonymous for that enlightenment at such a crucial period in US history. Just as the Roman Empire fell from within, so will America under the Republican Party and their goose-stepping facist Tea Party ultra-conservatives that seek to protect the filthy rich while denying the middle class and poor their voice in government and dreams of liberty. By God, the Republicans would eliminate entitlements and the entire safety net of the nation if they could and yet they claim President Obama (the great equalizer) is a non-citizen socialist because he cares about the little people that make this nation great. All the corporations do is buy Republicans and rape the consumer and this earth while expanding their endless profit margins. American capitalism is a satanic cult of vipers who worship the God of Money and yet dare to preach morality, a strong defense, and prosperity to all through a hand up approach. How can the homeless, the poor, the disabled, and the struggling middle class move upward when they are denied resources, better education, and money for social programs to give them breathing room? In this nation, democracy should rule, but it doesn't. Obstructionist Republicans are holding this nation captive and trying to destroy the foundations of liberty for generations to come. The scandal-ridden scumbags need to be removed from elected office and the Republican Party banned forever. THEY are the defilers of the Constitution, NOT the Democratic Party that cares for many people regardless of race, culture, gender, or sexual orientation. That is progressive America, not the Good Old Boys Club of America. Peace, I'm out...

When a Greedy Old Party member speaks of a mutant breed called "compassionate conservatives," he is tacitly admitting that the rank and file conservative has no compassion. Bravos to Anonymous and The Voice.

Looks like old Callhimlooney has surrendered after anonymous and the voice put him in his place, and rightfully so! As my british collegue would say "use a bit a common, man" and well maybe he came to his senses like Ebenezer Scrooge did after heeding the words of Jacob Marley and the three spirits. How ponderous the chains that Ted Cruz and company bear ;-)

I support President Obama's decision to proceed with healthcare reform in this nation. Anyone that doesn't want the uninsured to get medical help MUST be a Republican dirtbag. What's it like to kiss rich, corporate America's ass 24/7/365? Oh, and how's the NRA gun lobby?
