The Lyrics

It's the end of the world as we know it - and I feel fine.
The first sign of doomsday is very plain to see
The quail flies through wedding ring

The second sign of doomsday is very plain to see
Two beasts a-rising
and the quail flies through wedding ring

The third sign of doomsday is very plain to see
Three rocks a-floating
Two beasts a-rising
and the quail flies through wedding ring

The fourth sign of doomsday is very plain to see
Four riders riding
Three rocks a-floating
Two beasts a-rising
and the quail flies through wedding ring

The fifth sign of doomsday is very plain to see
Five ravens white
Four riders riding
Three rocks a-floating
Two beasts a-rising
and the quail flies through wedding ring

The sixth sign of doomsday is very plain to see
Six sixty sixes
Five ravens white
Four riders riding
Three rocks a-floating
Two beasts a-rising
and the quail flies through wedding ring

The seventh sign of doomsday is very plain to see
Seven seals a-breaking
Six sixty sixes
Five ravens white
Four riders riding
Three rocks a-floating
Two beasts a-rising
and the quail flies through wedding ring

The eighth sign of doomsday is very plain to see
Eight black swans swimming
Seven seals a-breaking
Six sixty sixes
Five ravens white
Four riders riding
Three rocks a-floating
Two beasts a-rising
and the quail flies through wedding ring

The ninth sign of doomsday is very plain to see
Nine feathers sinking
Eight black swans swimming
Seven seals a-breaking
Six sixty sixes
Five ravens white
Four riders riding
Three rocks a-floating
Two beasts a-rising
and the quail flies through wedding ring

The tenth sign of doomsday is very plain to see
Ten kilo minnows
Nine feathers sinking
Eight black swans swimming
Seven seals a-breaking
Six sixty sixes
Five ravens white
Four riders riding
Three rocks a-floating
Two beasts a-rising
and the quail flies through wedding ring

The eleventh sign of doomsday is very plain to see
Eleven stars at daytime
Ten kilo minnows
Nine feathers sinking
Eight black swans swimming
Seven seals a-breaking
Six sixty sixes
Five ravens white
Four riders riding
Three rocks a-floating
Two beasts a-rising
and the quail flies through wedding ring

The twelfth sign of doomsday is very plain to see
Twelve pigs a-flying
Eleven stars at daytime
Ten kilo minnows
Nine feathers sinking
Eight black swans swimming
Seven seals a-breaking
Six sixty sixes
Five ravens white
Four riders riding
Three rocks a-floating
Two beasts a-rising
and the quail flies through wedding ring
According to the Finnish legend, the quail was originally the size of a bear. When it took off in woods, it scared Jesus and St. Peter, and as punishment Jesus sentenced it to shrink in the course of time. The end of the world will come when a quail is small enough to fly through a wedding ring. Another sign of the doomsday is that a minnow will grow to 10 kg weight. The other signs are from Finnish folklore and Bible.

I think we don't have to worry... unless HJK Helsinki make it to the Champions League Final.

Oh Susanna! You scored with the 'five' line this time, but with 'the quail flies through wedding ring', why didn't you use an article (a, the)? That would have so easily fixed the pacing! 455 again.
Not trying to be mean, just helpful. Fun parody again. The Finnish images were interesting for me.

Oh dear. I was wrong about the pacing. I'm sorry I can't take the vote back now. My sincere apologies. Perhaps I should just enjoy your work and not try to be such a smartarse. Rhythm is still a little strange though without article (he says lamely).

Good stuff......I think we should do away with the whole rating system anyway....it's so overrated....instead , if you like it alot ; there should be a place you can send 'em money, for the funny

Amen to that, Dave, but there's so much good stuff here I'd be broke, lol
