The Lyrics

This year the Black Friday sales events were unleased at midnight or earlier and the violence STILL got worse. A woman used pepper spray to ward away the competition, there were people trampled, injured, fights broke out full-scale, and a man shot a consumer over an item! Xmas shopping is turning deadly. How sad that a once joyous outing has turned into a shopping frenzy of consumer pirahnas!!!
Xmas shopping has become frightful,
Consumers vicious and spiteful,
You see it everywhere you go,
Let's not go! Let's not go! Let's not go!

Who knew the dangers of shopping,
Black Friday events turned shocking,
Watch as the violence grows,
Let's not go! Let's not go! Let's not go!

Pepper spray assault and some big fights,
And a guy shot someone with a hand gun,
Who wants to shop with thugs weilding knives,
Bargains not worth dying young

The big sales are worth evading,
Wal-Mart, Target, we are debating,
Better wait til it slows,
Let's not go! Let's not go! Let's not go!

I didn't go this year, I pre-ordered online or waited a few days to go to local stores while staying away from the malls altogether.

I too am staying away. And you've given me an idea.

And I thought the traffic was bad around this time of year!

Oh my GOD, is it really that bad over in the US? Over here all the retailers are complaining that shoppers AREN'T buying stuff - we're all kind of holding back because the recession's really biting now. Anyway, 555 for this rather scary-sounding number!

Horrifying that the U.S. has stooped to this behavior. I love a good deal, but that's what coupon lists are for. (And some of the coupons are secret.... hehe.) 5's for you, Rob!

I don't do Black Friday at all and just finished my Christmas shopping a couple hours ago, but I've seen my fair share of screaming kids (including a little boy punching his mom in the chest and neck, trying to get out of the cart and yelling "You're not my mommy" and "Kidnapper" inside Wal-Mart today), bratty teenagers and preteens all over and people smelling of alcohol and cannabis. There was even an Occupy protest inside the mall about 60 miles down the road from me... 5s. This is one of your best-ever parodies in every way...

Thnaks everyone. And YES Wendy it IS that bad over here! Many retailers started early this year from 10pm-midnight instead of 4-5am in the morning. It was thought that things might go easier, but the opposite happened. It was chaos with lots of violence. Makes you wonder why more people didn't use lay-away or common sense to stay away from desperate mobs of savings seekers!

Good one! I do my Christmas shopping a little at a time all year long. I can't abide pushy crowds.

I hate being in crowds any way, and it gets worse in the run-up to Christmas when shops are full of shoppers.
