I can't stand the truck/SUV/CUV types that just blindly wander all over the road- worse than trailing an RV!!! But OTOH, I am one of those "I own the road" types too! If it's not a sportscar, then I won't drive it. Nice parody-555!!!
Thanks! One of my biggest on-the-road pet peeves is people who tail me. Sometimes, when the mood is right, I slow down a few miles just to spite them. They usually get the hint. I also hate it when people fail to utilize their turn signal or when people in the left lane give themselves the right-of-way when they know they don't have it.
I hate idiot drivers too. I was on my way back from work earlier today, a couple hours before dark with a heavy fog rolling in, and had to pull over to the side of a 6-lane highway to answer a phone call. Thankfully I was driving an old Buick the size of a small fishing boat and had my hazards on, otherwise the EMS would be taking pieces of my body out of the car with nutpicks. Everything passing me was an SUV, a full-size truck, a van or a small bus. 5s.
Thanks, Andria. I have a story similar to yours, except mine involved severely heavy rain and a one-lane highway. I was getting home from a show that I helped out at, and it started raining heavily. It got so bad I couldn't see the road. And semis and the like STILL passed me at regular speeds. I stayed at my aunt's that night.
Just using this opportunity to say that any comments that the Wiser/Woser thought was from me actually weren't, a lot of people have been using this computer lately and I always sign my own name to everything I write. I also do not vote 1's on anything. Among my college acquaintances, amiright's a popular site and we had a lot of visitors over the past two days, some using the computer. A lot of those people don't know me. Sorry about anything anyone else wrote, I will not allow this computer to be used by others again.
And all I ask of you authors and readers is to not believe anything the Wiser/Woser says about me. I am a longtime trusted parody author on the site, have nothing but respect for fellow authors, and would never do anything he says I've done. He's just a crazy commenter with an ax to grind.
Hi Phil, thanks for bringing that to our attention. It sucks when people abuse computer privileges when given them. (And 1-votes suck, too... not to mention they don't help a parodist improve without constructive criticism behind the vote.) If someone needs to use my computer, I ask what they need it for and log out of everything, then open a new window. Most people respect this policy.
