I got this idea from Porfle and his food parodies! This one goes out to Porfle...
I was outdoors cooking one day
My hands full manning the grille
When my buddies started whinin’
About the use of charcoal
The same argument again
Charcoal vs. propane
I said, “Kingsford seals the deal
while propane is more clean”
They wouldn’t stop arguing
Gee Whiz, now which one was better?
So I told them to please chill
Or they could leave altogether
Now the smell of those greasy burgers
Chicken, pork, and steak
Made them forget about such matters
For their hunger sake
So we sat down at the picnic table
Passed the meats and the potato salad
But then the guys looked at the steak sauces
Boy, did they go at it! And I had it!
Now it was Heinz 57 vs. A-1
For all steaks, A-1’s sauce is top gun
But for all others and pure variety
Heinz 57 gets the job done- yum!
The guys then started to settled down
I took a well-deserved rest
But then came the potato salad
And with it came the next test
Some preferred homemade, others red
I had enough, the BBQ was about to end
So this is what I loudly said,
“It’s German, now STFU and pass the corn, Friends!!!”
I’ll never invite the guys over again
Bastards were lucky that they even got fed!!!
