The Lyrics

A few weeks ago, I watched a movie called "The Death Collector" (a.k.a. "The Family Enforcer"). It was a 1976 mob movie with Joe Pesci in one of his earliest roles. At one point, there was a scene where the main characters were at a bar & a guy was playing this song on the piano. For some reason, they decided to throw peanuts at the piano player, disrupting his performance & causing him to utter the line, "Stop with the friggin' peanuts!" I thought it was so funny that I decided to make a parody out of it! Enjoy the parody, and remember, peanuts are for eating, not projectiles!
Stop with the peanuts, just let me play,
Your legume antics will mess up my day!
Hey there, you rude boys, do your moms know
You’re misbehaving and trashing this show?
Stop with the peanuts, don’t wreck this song,
Sit back and let me play this melody!
I don’t want to play notes that are wrong,
Stop with the peanuts & just let me be!
Stop with the peanuts & just let me be!

Stop with the peanuts, don’t mess with me,
I cannot think with this unpleasantry!
If you don’t stop this, I’ll get my boss,
If you get kicked out, well then, that’s your loss!
Stop with the peanuts, don’t be an ass,
I’d really like it if you heard my plea!
Please act like grown-ups, please have some class,
Stop with the peanuts & just let me be!
Stop with the peanuts & just let me be!

Dylan - The good news is that the Peanuts theme (Linus and Lucy) was written and performed by Vince Guaraldi and his trio. The bad news is that it takes Vince Guaraldi and his his trio to play it RIGHT! Nice job here. ;D

Of course, this has nothing to do with "Peanuts" the comic/show, but thanks anyways. Did you know there was actually another "Charlie Brown Theme" composed before "Linus and Lucy"? It's hard to find on YouTube, though.
