Song Parodies -> "Amiright Scandals"

Original Song Title:

"If You're Happy And You Know It"

Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Amiright Scandals"

Parody Written by:

Ethan Mawyer

The Lyrics

Inspired by the repeated plagiarized versions of ®if you're happy and you know it® on this site as well as problems with lack of voting, unreasonable one giving, and short songs getting too much credit.
If you can't write your own lyrics, plagiarize
Do not lose the posting spirit, plagiarize
If you want to be satiric,
But your muse is not inspiric
You can always use the mirac-
Le of lies

If the parody's too long then do not vote
If its not by William Tong then do not vote
If the parody's the bomb and
You do not know the real song then
To download it would be wrong, man, do not vote

If you like who is ripped in it, vote all ones
If you're simply a bitter twit, vote all ones
Don't think to be considerate
If you are too illiterate
To understand the parodist, vote all ones

If you want to nail the pacing, keep it short
If you want to get good ratings, keep it short
Cause the voters here are lazy
To do rap songs here is wasting
Your time and it's acting crazy, keep it short

All fives. One, because it's true and, two, because it's short. ;)

"Inspiric" and "Mirac-Le"! LOL! Shades of Ogden Nash! Very well done!

This parody does a great job of poking fun at four real problems. But isnít plagiarism too strong a term for the first problem? When one author does a parody on a certain song, and shortly thereafter, three or four other parodies of that song appear, that might indicate a lack of creativity by the three or four followers. But itís not really plagiarism if the parody authors change the words.

the thing is though, john, with at least the first 2 no words were changed and the third was similar if not the exact same thing

Avril, your happy and you know it, which was basically the same song as i'd seen here twice before, was what inspired me to write this song
