Original Performer:

Traditional

Parody Song Title:

"D-U-B-Y-A"

Parody Written by:

Ethan Mawyer

The Lyrics

remember disagreeing with my political opinion is no reason to give triple ones
We have an awful president
And Dubya is his name-O
D-U-B-Y-A
D-U-B-Y-A
D-U-B-Y-A
And Dubya is his name-O

Now take away the GPA
Of Dubya the big lame-o
(clap)-U-B-Y-A
(clap)-U-B-Y-A
(clap)-U-B-Y-A
And Dubya is his name-O

Now take who he don't care about
From Dubya the big lame-O
(clap)-(clap)-B-Y-A
(clap)-(clap)-B-Y-A
(clap)-(clap)-B-Y-A
And Dubya is his name-O

Now take what he should get stung by
From Dubya the big lame-O
(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-Y-A
(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-Y-A
(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-Y-A
And Dubya is his name-O

Take what he often makes me ask
From Dubya the big lame-O
(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)-A
(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)-A
(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)-A

Now take the grade he never got
From Dubya the big lame-O
(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)
(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)
(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)-(Clap)
Stop clapping for the lame-O

you must be an iraqi

Why is it still "name-o" when Duyba ends in "A?"

People didn't seem to care in "O-S-A-M-A". I sense a double standard. ;)

Nobody on this board, not even St. William of Tong, opposes Bush more than I do. But this was terrible. Actually, it was Bush-like in that it required no imagination, except for rhyming "name-o" with "lame-o." I'm assuming you can do better than that, but then, as Garry Marshall taught us, bad things can happen when you ass/u/me...

ok i admit this was rushed (i wrote it the same morning i thought of it) and probably poorly timed... i wish i had thought of this before the war... but if you pay a little more attention to the first line of each verse those took a bit more effort than the name-o/lame-O.

klaire - lame-A doesn't sound right and besides i didnt think of it. I was rushing to finish because i was afraid with 2 bingo parodies out recently then if i didnt hurry someone would beat me to this idea. One more thing - i never vote anyone down for disagreeing with me politically but obviously it's been done here

Love it! 5.5.5! I figured out the meanings of the first lines of each verse: they're kind of a play on words. Is that right, Tonedef?

I've changed my mind. (Something Georgie can't do, or wouldn't do if he DID have a mind.) Completely. This is great. I guess I didn't pay attention the last time... hopefully, neither did Georgie pay attention the last time a George Bush ran for re-election (1991-92).

well i feel about as smart as bush because at first i didn't understand it.... now i get it... thats pretty funny... and to who ever called him an iraqi i don't think a song praody constitutes such drama... get over it "god bless america"

I very much disagree with your politics, but this is very clever. If only "U" would aim your wit at more deserving targets! For an example of a political parody that presents both sides and takes neither, check out my "A Lot of Bombin' to Do". It has no votes so far, which means that no one has heard of the original song, unfortunately. That, or I could've done a better job with the title. I'll give you three fours and call it a wash (actually, a slight boost). BTW, if your theory of voting holds true, there are about twice as many liberals as conservatives who read this site.

Ha! This is very clever... would make a great hippie campfire song.

I voted 5-5-5 on this when it was added to the site last March, but I guess I didn't leave a comment, oh well. ::) Anyway, it was excellent; I love anti-Bush parodies!
