The moonwalk footage is still as amazing today as it was 40 yrs ago. Saddening, though, to think that we've all but abandoned the space exploration program today. It'll never happen again. :(

I can remember when Sputnik was put into orbit and I remember Kennedy saying that we should put a man on the moon before the end of the decade. And I remember watching in astonishment the video sent back to earth and shown on the old black and white TV - but who needed color on the moon anyway? I realy like this fine tribute to one of the few events I can remember as clearly as if they were yesterday. I can tell you that I was in 6TH period History class in 7TH grade on Nov 22, 1963 - I can tell you that I was in my family living room watcing man on the moon in the mid afternoon on July 20, 1969 and I was at work manning the base communication center on a military base at 10:00AM CDT Sep 11, 2001. Thanks for the memories. Fine work.
