The Lyrics

Bailout stuff. One thing we've all been questioning is the fact that $billions of TARP funds that was doled out to the big banks never seemed to trickle down to Main Street loans. So then where'd it go? As well, Paulson and Congress were, in hindsight, way to lenient with requirements for bank's usage of the funds received. "Why Didn't Paulson Put It in Writing"?
(Intro, in italics below is sung to the melody at the very beginning of Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer)
There was Citicorp, Morgan, A-I-G and Wa-Mu.
Freddie and Fannie, big checks were made out to.
And ‘mong those from the Street of Wall
He kept the loos-est purse strings of all.

Paulson the Dough-man,
Takes the TARP cash and he doles
Out to Goldman Sachs
Where policies were lax
Never mind taxpayer’s polls.
.
Paulson the Dough-man
E-nun-ci-a-tion dis-array.
He just hems and haws
Prays the credit thaws
Change his mind most ev-ry-day.

We hope it won’t turn trag-ic with tax-pay-ers funds abound
So blow another trillion, Hank,… while we wait for a re-bound.

Hey!

Paulson the Dough-Man
He hoped Main Street’d be okay
Thought the money’d flow, but “what do you know”?
Banks squirreled it all away.

Stumpity-stump-stump, Stumpity-stump-stump
Pitch his plan wherever he go.
Stumpity-stump-stump, Stumpity-stump-stump
Like a poor-man’s Ross Perot.

Paulson The Dough-man
On The Hill he got his way.
Didn’t think to thank,
Even Barney Frank
Hank’s a self-proclaimed Sensei.

Due to the pillage,
Kept his checkbook in his hand,
Thanks to ‘ol Chris Cox and de-pressed stocks
At his whim, he’d change The Plan.
.
Cong-ress gave the leeway so he’d be thee lone TARP cop.
But not until the Big Three asked,
Did his spending ever stop.

Oh!
Paulson the Dough-Man
And the TARP funds he holds sway
Soon he’ll wave goodbye,
Admit he went awry
On In-aug-u-ra-tion Day.

Pumpity-pump-pump, Pumpity-pump-pump
Make liquidity grow.
Pumpity-pump-pump, Pumpity-pump-pump
Bare-faced he let it flow.

This is very good...but it seems to fit the song, "Frosty, The Snowman" instead of " Let It Snow"
