Parody Song Title:

"Home In New York"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Oh, don't buy a home
Where Buffalo Bills roam
And Niagara Falls isn't far
Here, winter snow's deep
Howling winds make skin creep
And we always get stuck with our car

Home, Home in New York
Where our ears freeze off and fall away
Weather reports heard
Lend us no hopeful word
Just a sky filled with snowflakes, each day

Not often at night, are there no flakes in sight
But, if skies, on occasion, are blessed
Along comes lake effect, snow's up to our neck,
And by morning the roads are a mess..

Home, Home In New York
Where it snows from October through May
The winter's absurd,
Cars are highly insured,
And the snow blower stores shout, "Hooray!"

I had problems with pacing, but as a Finn I could well sympathize you.

Fav line: "Cars are highly insured", I've been upstate NY in wither. So true. We pay for the heat in south Texas in the summer, but I don't miss ol' man winter in the northern tier. I've been spoiled rotten with dodging winter for the past 20 something years being here. Minor pace SNAFUs but no big deal. Early Christmas present. I'm puttin' 5s in your sock.
