The Lyrics

When I pasted this from Word the parody lyrics box had messed up messed up lining. I fixed that up and the preview is still showing a messed up line or two.
Grim Reaper ran over by a John Deere
Tire print tattoo he did receive
Never thought there was no live in dead men
But now I do not know what to believe

Must a been lookin' for a mouse
Or somthin' else I don't know
He took off no hesitatin' And he stumbled in the bushes that we grow

Was still freaked out the next mornin
When I saw the skin he lacked
Dark touch of grey robe was hooded
And incriminatin’ wheel marks in the back

Grim Reaper ran over by a John Deere
Tire print tattoo he did receive
Never thought there was no live in dead men
But now I do not know what to believe

On the sofa there sat Grandpa
I could hear him cuss and yell
Least he’s only watchin’ football
Drinkin’ beer and playin’ cards with Uncle Mel

And my head began to ponder
Thought of family dressed in black
And I just cant help but wonder
Maybe he or something come to haunt us back?

Grim Reaper ran over by a John Deere
Tire print tattoo he did receive
Never thought there was no live in dead men
But now I do not know what to believe

Now the turkeys on the table
And the pudding in I’ll dig
Say our grace wax drips from candle
Then I make myself look like a starvin’ pig

Told all my friends and my neighbors
No sure watch out for yourselves
Think I’m nuts and its all nonsense
Ha ha soon you’ll hit A reindeer or some elves

Grim Reaper ran over by a John Deere
Tire print tattoo he did receive
Never thought there was no live in dead men
But now I do not know what to believe

I see the line you talked about Ann: looks like you needed to hit "Enter" after "hesitatin'". Great pacing, and I loved "Tire print tattoo he did receive", but IMHO this could have used a bit of variation in the choruses. 545

Thanks Red Ant This was the first time I woke up with an idea. I got myself exited and in a hurry to get it out.

I forgot what I was going to say. Picturing you getting yourself excited got me all excited and in a hurry to get it out. Well, anything to attractor.

OS title is 10 syllables, yours is 11. There's way too many of the OS lines. It's great to wake up with ideas, but I'm sure Coleridge edited his Kublai Khan poem after he woke up and scratched it out.
