The Lyrics

A parody about celebrities going in and out of jail, inspired by the most recent addition to the list. One could write many stanzas for this, but I'll leave it at six. For the slang-impaired, The Pokey is a term for jail.
You put the dumb blonde in
You let the dumb blonde out
You put the dumb blonde in
And on CNN you shout
You do the Pokey Pokey
And watch Paris Hilton pout
That’s what L.A.’s about!

You put Tom Sizemore in (1)
You let Tom Sizemore out
You put Tom Sizemore in
On Inside Edition shout
You do the Pokey Pokey
And celebrity you flout
That’s what L.A.’s about!

Let’s do the Pokey Pokey!
Let’s do the Pokey Pokey

You put Mike Tyson in
You let Mike Tyson out
You put Mike Tyson in
And listen to Don King shout
You do the Pokey Pokey
And set up another bout
That’s what sports are about!

You put Strawberry in (2)
You let Strawberry out
You put Strawberry in
On ESPN you shout
You do the Pokey Pokey
‘Cause a baseball he could clout
That’s what sports are about!

Let’s do the Pokey Pokey!
Let’s do the Pokey Pokey

You put ODB in (3)
You let ODB out
You put ODB in
And listen to Wu-Tang shout
You do the Pokey Pokey
And then claim that you’re devout
That’s what hip-hop’s about!

Put Bobby Brown in
Let Bobby Brown out
Put Bobby Brown in
And hear Whitney Houston shout
You do the Pokey Pokey
(man, that Bobby is a lout)
That’s what hip-hop’s about!

Let’s do the Pokey Pokey!
Let’s do the Pokey Pokey!
(1) Tom Sizemore has been in many hit movies (Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down), but just can't kick his drug habit.
(2) Darryl Strawberry was an outstanding baseball player who, again, just can't kick his drug habit.
(3) Ol' Dirty Bastard (aka Big Baby Jesus, aka Dirt McGirt), member of the The Wu-Tang Clan, a group of popular American rap artists. Sadly, ODB died in 2004 from a drug overdose (notice a pattern here?)

I was going to write a stanza about Suge Knight, but man, you do NOT want to mess with Suge Knight. Google him and find out why.

What the!! How did my previous parody title end up as the title here, and how did... Never mind, I'll resubmit.

I don't care what the title is, that's funny as hell. And ain't Suge Knight still in jail? I heard he got 555 years...

You were smart to cut this hilarious parody off at 6, otherwise, if you had included everybody who COULD have been in it, it wouldn't have been finished in this millennium....555
