I heard the belch on Christmas day
How gross, it was my cousin, Jay
so rude, to eat, his food, repeat
For all it's worth, he burped, again

I thought how crude he has become
To belch right out, so dimly dumb
It rolled along, his erupted song
so deep it's birth, so ill to men

And I in despair, just bowed my head
"I shall now say the grace," I said
"Let's bow our heads, and bless the wrong
For peace on earth, good will to men."

Then came another loud and deep
Most guests ignored, like slumbered sheep
My wife turned pale, so did, Aunt Gail
With greater girth, he retched once more

We all stood up and moved away
Lost appetites this Christmas day
Grab both drumsticks, did cousin Jay
And all by himself, he chowed away..
